Nah, I think she was giving an honest answer to the question asked and that's how it comes across both times she has spoken about the film. Either way I hope they touch on the possibility of what could happen if Jean were to lose control without going full on Pheonix saga, it's just too soon.

I can imagine certain actors in the OC were spotlight hungry, sounds like berry certainly was by X2

And the Phoenix story has been done already, even if you didn't like what was done it was still done so they may treat it that way, just like we probably won't get another weapon x movie just because people hated origins

The "they already did it" excuses don't work here IMO. Yeah its "been done" before(at least an awful adaptation has been done, as a secondary story in an X-Men Wolverine film which concluded in a fight with Magneto's Brotherhood over a cure for mutant-kind.), but they could do it right this time.

same could be said for the weapon X story but bryan changed the forshadow ending because he felt it had been done before and was just a repeat, same reason he took juggernaut out of the script

if anything it has been given a light reboot but its still in the same universe so if they did do it again it would have to be different enough to warrant doing it again

Phoenix is different. It was done very poorly in a movie that few even remember that well now. By the time they do it again, it will have been at least 14 years. Probably more.

Batman (1989) was iconic. If that did not stop them from (thankfully) topping Batman vs. the Joker 19 years later, I do not see why they have to be cautious now. I am not saying do it in Apocalypse, but down the road, get it right.

I suppose it really depends whether they feel the need to explain why jean is alive in the new timeline and whether they choose the give some focus to the stuff X3 set up with the whole mental block while i know some will say thats unlikely i'd say its possible

i think the difference is The Dark Knight had no connection to batman (1989), while as long as jackman is wolverine there will always be a connection to X3

Only Jen had actual cred and has a natural wit that is both charming and super annoying haha (she's also a tough cookie). I actually hope Sophie doesn't become like Jen and stays out of the media game. She's really young, so nothing against her. All the criticisms here are hopefully just in good fun and fanboy boredom. The three new young stars are in for some crazy times!

Seeing as she is playing teenage jean they will likely have her hair down, thats usually how hollywood makes someone who isn't a teenager look like a teenager

I don't think Sophie really needs a wig. Her hair may need a touch up, or something, but I think it's fine. I'm excited for her portrayal.
