Im one of those people who really didnt like avery brooks acting he had 2 modes either really pissed or really jovial, i did get used to it though especially considering the rest of the cast was brilliant. Garak, weyoun were fantastic and dukat was one of the best star trek villians.

As far which seasons were the good after sisko became captain the show really started to take off and never looked back.

Yeah, it grew into something really fantastic. Weyoun, Garak, Dukat, Damar, Nog and Martok are all my favorites. It's hard to get a friend into this show starting at the beginning. Even though its already a great complex story.

I loved this series more than any other in the world.
What I loved about DS9 more than any other is the darkness it brought.
While those others - OS, TNG, VOY and ENT, - had far too much happiness.

Almost every character -as well as the main cast as the quest stars - had a darkside which was lovable to look at. Even Gul Dukat had a darkside, beside his evil doing and his weaknesses.

Even Gul Dukat had a dark side? I think you meant to say "even Gul Dukat had a light side" because he was mostly all dark. Well...grey. Hence the grey. But yes I agree, DS9 was the best.

What's great about Dukat is that they made it often seem like he's on the rebound but he keeps going deeper and deeper downhill.

Agreed. Though I still felt bad for the guy when he went blind in Season 7.
