Beast and Wolvie, though awesome, lovely characters, are particularly easy for telepaths because of their more bestial natures. Granted, this animal like state can in some circumstances be of aide against psis, due to their reliance on mid- and hind-brain activity, whereas psis tend to prefer the pre-frontal cortex, the most advanced part of the brain. However, Beast and Logan are not animals (particularly Hank, due to his genius level IQ), and thus their animal tendencies can easily be turned against them as so vividly demonstrated by Emma and Cassandra in the more recent Astonishing issues. Storm is intelligent, but her nature is not overtly academic, rather profoundly spiritual. She was able to grow into her mutant ability in the serene African plains, where she was in equilibrium with her powers, her body, her environment, and the people around her, who adored her. A far cry from Logan, who's powers manifested in the 1800's and was in effect raised by wolves following the slaughter of his father; and Hank, who, while celebrated as a star athlete, still felt inwardly awkward about this animalistic body. Psychologically, Logan and Hank are already ripping at the seems. Now, you might bring up Storm's very traumatic childhood experience of loosing her parents in such an extreme way. Storm has and probably will always suffer from claustrophobia, but it is a struggle she is well aware of and has overcome in much degree. Pity anyone who would try to use this against her, as it triggers an innate fight-or-flight response, and when Storm's adrenaline kicks into high gear, so does the atmosphere around her. This is all psychological aspects to why Storm is better equipped against psis, but there are physiological aspects as well. Biologically speaking, a thought is when a neurotransmitter carries an electrical charge across the space between two neurons. While telepathy has not quite been documented scientifically in the real world (at least not the the satisfaction of the status quo), one can assume it involves the activation of neurons remotely by some energetic means. Storm controls electricity, especially the electricity in her own body. It's quite easy to understand why Xavier, Jean and others have said specifically that Storm's unique bio-electrical field presents a basic interference to the normal application of telepathy. And this is just in normal, everyday communication, when they are trying to contact Storm across some distance and Storm is not intentionally resisting the communication. So you can see that if a psi is trying to harm Storm, much less commandeer her mind, she can increase the "static feedback" electrically with her powers, not to mention the fact that her own consciousness will be fighting the way any other consciousness would to counter a hostile take over. Storm is uniquely equipped by nature and nurture(that is to say her life experiences) to counter the adverse effects telepathy.
