The Official Stupid Question Thread: Marvel Edition - Part 1

Who has? I can only think of Wanda (the Vision), Ms. Marvel (the Vision again), and Hank Pym (Jocasta). Did I somehow miss the robot-f***ing era of Avengers history?
When did Ms. Marvel boink the Vision?

To be honest, I'm not sure she has. I know they were attracted to each other in Busiek's run, but it was so long ago that I can't recall for sure whether they really dated or did the deed or what.

Dracula seems to be a rather important character now, being in one of the promos for the Fear Itself event. I've heard lackluster things about his story in X-Men, so does anybody know why they keep trying to push him? Is Marvel just trying to jump on the vampire bandwagon?

Seems like it. They've got some agenda for vampires to be a big part of the Marvel universe again. The X-Men crossover was only the beginning; they're going to show up in Avengers comics at some point, too.

Personally, I'm cool with it. I like vampires. Paul Cornell did wonders with them in Captain Britain and MI-13. I just wish Dracula didn't look so stupid now.

so have Blade or Morbius been around? seems kinda dumb to bring Dracula into the mix when Marvel already has its own vampires in the mix.

Blade showed up in the X-Men arc to... well, pretty much just to have Cyclops completely ignore everything he said, to be honest. Morbius I don't think I've seen in years, though.

As for bringing Dracula into the mix: Dracula's been in the mix a long time, dude. Marvel's published Dracula comics and crossed him over into the main Marvel universe for decades. He's turned several major characters into vampires in previous encounters, including Sif and Storm. Dracula's nothing new (although this terrible look he's sporting now is).

huh. I was completely unaware of his involvement in Marvel continuity. I thought he kinda dropped off the map after the monster fad ended and that old Gene Colan book stopped getting published. thanks Corp.

Nope, he crossed over into superhero-land. You should check out that Captain Britain and MI-13 arc if you want to see a really good combination of superheroes, vampires, and magic. The trade is called Vampire State.

that's actually been on my list for a while since I've heard several people say good things about it around the Hype. but my LCS doesn't have a copy, and Amazon has screwed me over on the last 2 items they've shipped me, so I'm wary of using them again. Eventually I will read it though.

I think Morbuis was in that FrankenCastle thing.

Has Lorna being Magnetos daughter been explored?
I think she was adopted but I don't think they said who her mother was or how/when Magneto meet her.

Nope. We dont even know if she really is his daughter. All we have is her accounting getting a DNA test to confirm it back in UXM, but this was back when she was crazy. Ever since Magneto has returned, he has not acknowledged her at all. He's been all about Pietro and Wanda, but he has not inquired about Lorna or mae any mention of her being his daughter.I hear that Carey will be exploring Magneto in Legacy and Lorna may be brought up. I think thats the place to look for their relationship to finally get its due bc it desperately needs some clarification and confirmation as to her origin

Yeah they have had that is she isn't his daughter for years. I want her to be his daughter so Lorna can marry Alex and then half the marvel mutant universe is connected in one big family

i thought it was just official that yes she is his daughter, and they havent talked cuz she went from bats*** crazy, to depowered and depress, to horseman of Apocalypse, and then shot into space for the past 4 years.

I was still blitzed by that. I hadn't read X-men comics in years so hearing Lorna was ol' Maggie's shocked me.

well thats been her thing ever since she was first introduced in the 70s. i think they might have even said in her first appearance "the daughter of Magneto" and they spent all their time trying to disprove it.

As of how things have been presented in the comics as they currently are, Polaris is indeed considered his daughter in canon. Until someone comes along saying that the DNA test she got was faked or someone set it up, that is.

if the Iron Fist burns the dragon mark onto his body from Shou Lao (I don't think it's always the chest like Danny's is), why does it look like a tattoo instead of a burn scar?

I havent' read Marvel since Civil War

Is the registration act still in effect?

Stark still head of Shield?

Parker still publicly known?
