Jean does not suck :cmad: IMO, the X-men went downhill when they got rid of her. She was the heart of the team and left a very big hole in her absence thats been very noticeable

Well, let's not pretend the somewhat darkened path the X-Men have gone down these past few years wouldn't have happened if Jean was still alive. She wasn't the only morally upstanding member of the team with a heart of gold. There were other people in the X-Men who filled that role, and they all either stopped showing up in the comics (except for action scenes) or slightly changed their personalities.

Jean is underrated.

Jean, Nightcrawler, Colossus....all can be considered the heart of the X-Men. 2 of them have been killed and the 3rd was killed off at one point. Peter better watch his back because editorial will stick a dagger in it.

Jean's the ghost of X-Men past. She is totally tied to Hope, that's why I think they're not rushing to explain who Hope is. They know if they do that, Jean will have to come back during the telling of that story. Until then, we have to keep opening up our wallets like suckers.

Whatever happened to Namors movie studio? He had one waaaaaaay back in the early FF issues but I've never heard of it again.

That the best you got? No jokes about them going bankrupt due to Namor demanding biographies of Jacques Cousteau and movies like Finding Nemo?

I woulda went with that but that's not really funny.

Also, Jacques Cousteau is the greatest man who ever lived.

So Jean isn't dead? What comic was this revealed in? How was it revealed?

I thought a good solo series might be Jean coming back from the dead, finding Scott a totally different man than he was when she died (now he is leading the X-School, condones killing, keeps secrets, let Magneto on the team, and is with Emma Frost. While Wolverine is opening his own school called the Jean Grey School.) And maybe to try and get settled back in she is on her own for a while... or longer if the book sold. She roams around, ends up fighting some bad guys (new and old) saves the day a few times on her own.

Marvel has few female characters that have their own title, and few big name female characters. I thought maybe Jean could become like Marvel's Wonder Woman or something.

Jean was sorta forced back to life in the miniseries Phoenix: Endsong. At the end of it, she sorta shunted herself off to another dimension. She's been watching everything that's been happening to the X-Men, so she's well aware of what Scott's been doing in her absence. She briefly appeared in Emma's dreams during Fraction's run to help them fight Maddy Pryor, and Hope might've heard her voice in her own dreams during Generation Hope.

Also, it needs to be said that Jean has no problem with Scott and Emma's relationship. I always see a bunch of fans talking about how they can't wait for Jean to come back and raise hell about Scott & Emma, but Jean's spirit helped push them together shortly after her death, and Jean once had to convince her Phoenixy half that Scott doesn't want them anymore because he has Emma.

You know who else needs to be reminded of this? The writers.

She's alive, just chillin' in a hot ass room stealing peoples fragments.

Marvel has already said that there can never be a Wolverine/Jean match up because Wolverine appeals to her Dark Phoenix aspect. Getting together with Logan would unleash the Dark Phoenix completely and destroy the universe.

Like anybodys gonna remember THAT plot point. :o

Endsong was actually a pretty damn good mini. It was its sequel, Warsong that sucked

Speaking of Jean, this was revealed at this weekend's Comic Con

But Logan's all nice and cuddly and running the school now. Cyclops is the a**hole. :oldrazz:

the thing that confuses me is if that tease really is about Phoenix and not something else, why aren't the writers and artists the ones from the new X-books? seems like a bunch of random creators for an X-centric event.

That doesn't really matter since it's what part of Jean is interested in Logan that determines the result and that part is the darker part of Jean.
