Why don't you run that by him on Twitter or something. Maybe he doesn't know the kid exists?

not followed the comics for a bit...but did notice a new british hero called kid britain..is he still around??

Does anyone know a good site or app to read older and current comics for free?

Has anyone here read Cassaday's Union Jack? Is it worth buying?

I've heard praise about it. I've always been curious about it myself but haven't got around to actually buying it.

I did that not too long ago with Mark Waid and am hoping he bites. I was reading some 90s Spider-Man and came across one of my first ever comics with a character named Whisper who as a ninja with the ability to negate sound. He only made 3 appearances, but I thought he'd make a great Daredevil villain.

A ninja that can negate sound? Sounds kinda useless considering the job description but against DD? Should work. I'd read it.

He was a pretty cool villain. He negates all sound in his proximity. Complete and utter silence. So DD wouldn't be able to use his hearing/radar senses at all. I'm sure it's something DD could overcome, but it'd make for an interesting story, I think.

Was there ever a continuation comic of the tv show Avengers: EMH, a lot like how Justice League Beyond and Batman Beyond continue the DCAU?

The Avengers Assemble show is considered a direct continuation of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, even though that makes no sense whatsoever.

What are some good reads with the GotG? The trailer has got me interested in them again. I've read the Annihilation-WoK arcs years back and they were good. Anything like those?

DnA 's 2008 run was fantastic and that's the run the movie is based on.

DnA's stuff is getting a new trade in the next few months, too.

Annihilation Conquest: Star-Lord was also great. It basically laid the groundwork for the actual Guardians team, although it's a slightly different setup.

So this just occurred to me. Way back when, some time in Excalibur I think, Rachel Summers/Grey fought Galactus with the Phoenix power and when she did it was mentioned that the Phoenix was the lifesource of the universe and by using it rashly she was stopping an unknown amount of lives from being born in the future.

Is this just something they forgot for AvsX (which I hated) or was it wrong?

Are there any really good Spider-Man stories you'd recommend? If so, is there a collection of the issues in said stories?

If you have an ipad/tablet with Comixology I would suggest going and searching for Spiderman issues about a year after Brand New Day started. It was a rocky start, but at around issues #560 the book really started to pick up steam with the Paper Doll arc. My best advice would be just to search for all the issues written by Frank VanLente, Mark Waid, Joe Kelly, and Dan Slott. They're all short 1-2 issues stories featuring characters like the Shocker, the Spot, Sandman, Chameleon, Black Cat, etc.

I read Amazing Spiderman for a long time, and those were some of the best in recent years.

If you go older, I'd recommend the trades for Death of Gwen Stacy and Kraven's Last Hunt. And not quite as old... maybe the Amazing Spider-Man trade New Avenger by Straczynski. It's mostly self-contained about when Peter first joined the Avengers. It was a pretty cool story.

"The Child Within" from Spectacular Spider-Man is one of my favorite Spider-Man stories ever. It's from the early '90s.

That depends on if you want old stuff or new stuff.

Here's a fairly recent list by CBR:

(Just be aware, some of the writers comments and scenes spoil story points.)

Great help, thanks! :)

I already own Kraven's Last Hunt, loved every bit of it.

Thank you!

Was Spectacular canon to 616 or just a one-off? Thank you, anyhow :)

At the time Spectacular was the 2nd longest running Spider-Man title behind ASM.

"The Child Within" was a sequel to "Kraven's Last Hunt" and tackled head on the long running plotline of Harry Osborn's issues since donning the Green Goblin costume to fight Hobgoblin (Jason Macendale) during the Marvel crossover event "Inferno".
