The Official Suicide Squad Rotten Tomatoes Thread - Part 1

Well, its official. Rotten Tomatoes is straight up trolling as it seems they didn't actually watch the film with the low score it got. Even if you didn't like this movie, it deserves a 50% at best.

Thanks for adding proof to my theory
Makes me wonder if the people who hate critics even read what they have to say or just look at the score and start talking crap

Sharknado succeeds at being a silly d-movie homage, whereas BvS and SS miss the mark as entertaining comic book movies. I can see why a bigger percentage of critics would prefer Sharknado.

Sharknado also has less than 20 reviews and it's a TV movie.

And the trend continues, audience score has dropped another percentage today.

Yup. Down to 71%

Noticed something strange, SS is at 26% Rotten and BVS is at 27%. However, probably 90% percent of the reviews I've read said SS is better than BVS. So much for BVS gaining popularity as time goes by.

I don't think time will be kind to any of the DCEU movies so far.

Not to SS anyway. I have other thoughts regarding MOS and BvS UC.

I know AnneFan. I am sorry that you did not like SS, I know you like the DCEU. I don't understand it but I can respect it.

There are also only 17 TOTAL reviews for Sharknado. So it isn't comparable at all.

Nice. Looking forward to tomorow's report of 69%.

Finger's crossed!!!

I like seeing updates to watch it drop. It deserve to drop into 40s at least.

How's about they do their job instead of designing personalized qualifiers on a whim. Consistency even in art assessment goes along way. Otherwise, "The Room succeeds at being a bad silly movie 5 stars, Interstellar falls shy of being great sci fi and definitely not even close to Nolans best. "
-fast and loose with expectations taints the whole thing even further than it is already.

That you topped it off with what this pool of people "prefer" as opposed to something more substantial...

How's about they do their job

Someone should let those 14 critics who gave the first Sharknado a "fresh" rating know that they aren't doing their job.

^not even sure what you are getting at with this edit tbh.
They are, you just don't like what they have to say.
Their job eh.
So you read the post and the context in which I responded to did you? One that generally has nothing to do with this movie but the preferential slope of grading film?

I don't think a film like sharknado get's a better score than basketball diaries or Interstellar in any sort of consistent grading system. You tax films for lacking substance and character development, award films without the conversation even coming up.

I don't think that's their job, to grad stuff based on personal qualifiers, the audience maybe but not what we present critics as. Their job should strive for a consistency of qualifiers, otherwise there is no point. Otherwise this truly is a system in which the industry bending to the fickle and every changing "likes" of 200 bloggers. Learned analysts grading achievement in the supposed rules of art and film making is what I'd imagine.

And all of that with me mostly agreeing with most critics on SS. Me liking what they say has nill to do with my issue. It's the aforementioned along with their influence tbh.
