This is my favorite issue of the week so far. The story has a nice pace, and it makes it feel worth the read.

I was sure he was going to show up after the ending of issue two

Action Comics #3 looks sweet! Morrison continues to deliver an awesome series!

so how was Superman #2 compared to #1?

I enjoyed AC #2 more than #1, Superboy #2 more than #1, Supergirl #2 more than #1, and JL #2 more than #1.......

will I find Superman #2 to follow that pattern? lol

Eh, I think Aquaman #1 was better than #2.

Outside of that, you may be right though. I think it's just because in most of the number #2s, the plots are really starting to get rolling. A lot of the #1s felt a little slow or short on plot progression.

Well some #1s were better than the 2s. I liked the first issues of Aquaman and Animal Man better than the second issues, but I still loved them very much. I thought that Batwoman #1 was better than the second issue.

I actually really enjoyed Superman #2, more so than #1. The design of the villain was a bit uninspired, but the ideas behind it were intriguing, and made for some great action scenes. It felt less cluttered than #1. Sill very dense, just less cluttered, and less unnecessary dialogue. I definitely like how it's building.

It's no Action Comics, but it's a fun read.

Metallo's finally a top tier antagonist. Good job, DC, it only took you fifty years.

So Nicolas taking over art duty for 3 issues of Superman, at least she is a good person to go to for a fill in artist.

#3 was the best issue yet, as far as I'm concerned. I was glad to see the backlash begin. As much as everyone else seems to love seeing Superman dangle businessmen off of roofs, there's no way he could get away with it without some kind of major consequences. Glad to see Morrison addressing that pretty quickly.

Its not the dangling people off rooftops...its the fact that unlike the last incarnation, this Superman unquestionably has a set of balls, is more like the original version, and dosent seem like the type of guy you'd find crying on the cover of every major crossover event.

Action continues to be my fave Superman title of the reboot. Really loving the set-up and how Morrison really deals with the progression of Clark and his status.

Superman was never the kind of guy you'd see crying in the corner of anything. I don't know how that perception got started, but it's never been true, period. The only times Superman's been a government shill or a b**** or whatever were out of continuity in Miller and other people's nonsense.

[BLACKOUT]"There's a ghost watching over you. There's a white dog."[/BLACKOUT] was pretty cryptic and the only conclusion that I come to is that [BLACKOUT]Krypto lives[/BLACKOUT], ******!
