No need to be hatin'

Johns is much needed for this book IMO.Love me some Rommy J art
Do not love me some Geoff Johns writing
Mixed feelings
Pretty rare and potentially historic to have John Romita Jr. on Superman after his long association with Marvel.
Johns is much needed for this book IMO.
I **** on Lobdell because I hate his writing. *shrug*

Because Morrison put the Superman line into such a mess. The Superman line needs to be as organizationally cohesive as the Batman and Green Lantern lines and it isn't because when DC launched the Superman line in the New 52, DC treated Action Comics as the flagship title and yet, Morrison kept the other Superman writers completely out of the loop.In what way? What's needed is a good writer.![]()

They tried to give the line some cohesion with Lobdell in charge, but his direction was just kinda dull. It wasn't bad or anything, but it wasn't very exciting.
Johns being on the book gives the line a big opportunity to bring about the cohesion that Lobdell brought, combine it with the excitement that Morrison brought, makes Superman the flagship title as opposed to Action Comics (which it should be like how Batman and Green Lantern are the flagship titles of their lines), and hopefully will bring sales up to a more respectable level to at least Green Lantern levels.
