The way I took it is up until then, she had never realized that she didn't need to breathe, and it was only upon running out of air that she realized she could survive without it. In other words, her reaction, blacking out was all psychosomatic, sort of like Ursa in Superman II reacting to being bitten by that snake even though she was impervious to its bite.

Hmmmm, I guess that makes a lot of sense. Great way of looking at it

I wasn't too fond of the H'el on Earth issues, but outside of those, Lobdell's Superman issues were actually pretty decent. And this is coming from someone who thinks of him as the Anti-Christ for what he's done to the Titans.
Hmmm...maybe I'll have to give it a look. That'll probably depend on how far downhill Action Comics goes first though, lol. Speaking of which, finally read AC #19. Wonderful issue. Definitely would have loved to see Diggle stay on for a while.

I am loving the fact that Superboy is really Superman and Lois son. I can't wait to see what happens when Superman finds out about this and if this maybe changes anything with the two of them. I also like how the Superman/Wonder Woman hook-up comes into play with this.

The Superboy that WE know and have been following is still a clone. It is just a clone using the DNA of Superman and Lois, to recreate the Superboy Harvest is harboring. Also, Harvest seems to be trying to alter the events to change the future. He says so when he sees Superman and Wonder Woman together. He explains that he had been waiting for this moment in time because this is where history is the most malleable. So if the timeline is being altered than that can imply that the conception between Superman and Lois might never happen.

The idea that Superboy is a creation of Superman and Lois is a bit refreshing, a new take on the character. However overall and in the long run I think it still would have been better to go with Lex, it made more sense and made for a better story. Why else would Superboy have Lex in his subconscious as shown in the last issue? Maybe it is to be explained in the future. Also, if Superboy is a creation of Superboy and Lois than why did Superboy come out the way he did? In issue #1 when then are running tests on him they were all so curious as to why he acts the way he does. They were like, "Superboy doesn't feel compelled to help people like Superman does. So unless his human donor is a pathological, megalomaniacal, narcissist... we must have done something wrong."

I just think Superboy never felt the need to save people because of the fact he kept dying so young that he never felt the need to save people. I mean when he first died as a baby then first clone died later on. However I think Harvest is the reason as to why he always acted the way he did not Lex Luthor. I just would love it if Superman and Lois found out the truth sooner than later.

What do you mean? There are 2 Superboys and only 2, The Original (Jon) and the Clone (Kon-El). These are the only 2 versions that have ever existed, as far as we know so far. The Original which was conceived in an alternate future Lois and Superman and then the Clone created from samples of the Sources, Lois and Superman, not a sample of the original clone. So Kon-El does not carry the memories of the original Superboy. He actually carries the memories of Superman which is why he always placed himself in Kansas during the simulations. Also, neither version has ever died, that is just what the others thought. What really happened was that Jon went into a temporary dormant state so that his hybrid body could align itself.

Regardless Kon-El doesn't have any knowledge of these "deaths" consciously or subconsciously so there is no way it would affect his behavior. So the reason as to why Superboy was never compelled to help anyone is still in the air.

I was reading an interview with Morrison from a few months back pertaining to his upcoming Multiversity project and he mentioned that one of the main featured characters is going to be the black president Superman from Earth 23. Action Comics#9 was one of my favorite comics from last year so this news excites me.

Happy birthday Superman! We may all like different versions from golden age to post crisis to new 52, George Reeves to Henry Cavil to Dean Cain to Christopher Reeve to Tom Welling at the end of the day we are all Superman fans. Thank you Jerry and Joe for creating the world's first and still world's greatest Superhero.

Great tribute. Superman is and always will be the greatest for me. As much as I can't stand his new look (and the New 52 in general), I cannot turn my back on him.
The new trailer looks incredible; my hopes are very high.:supes:

They're bringing back Cyborg Superman.

I'm not sure if this is 2013 or 1993.

Funny rant about the Superman movie:

Whether or not you like said old villain, can effect your opinion of the return of the old character.

I for one wanna see the return of terraman. Cowboy hat and all.

Both Hepburn as Supergirl pics look very cute.

It's a nice manip/pic, very cool, but I wonder why you or other people keep seing Superman with old suits when the very same people are already in love with the new vision shown in MoS. I mean, Faora seems to have a very similar suit than Zod or Kal El, so if there is a Supergirl in the next movies, I thinks it would be logical to dress her like faora, or Kal El, wouldn't it? this being said,I must say your art rocks. Very well executed.
