My favorite "young Superman" story is Superman for All Seasons.

I've never seen that cover before, and I love it. Is that from one of the singles and I've just forgotten, or is there a new hardcover edition coming out?

90% of why that looks bad is the art style.

DK III is a great read for Superman fans. It's basically Miller's love letter to the character. I guess a way to counter all those people who claim he hates the character.

It's been proven before that Miller doesn't hate Superman. He said so in an interview claiming he had a Superman story he wanted to tell someday.

I don't think he hates him, but he certainly doesn't understand how to write for him...

I'd like to see that. I think people make mountains out of molehills when it comes to quite a few of the new 52 looks, but Superman would definitely be better off looking like his old self again.

Even if they don't go back to the classic look I would really like them to remove the high collar. It just doesn't suit the son of scientists and looks pretty bad on the Superman suit. Even the new movies wisely avoided it in favor of an open collar. It makes more sense for GL with the whole space cop and cosmic military uniform angle.

I wasn't being snarky. Sorry if it came across that way. For one thing his necessity in the dark knight universe is really being emphasized by the narrative. The main villlains are kryptonian so he is bound to be the hero of the day.

The only Superman title I read is Superman: Lois and Clark because it's the real Superman from the last 30 years. A Superman having family, something we can relate to.

I may buy both Superman and Action Comics' #50's.

If anyone can write Superman justice, it's Dan Jurgens. Just like Christopher Reeve was the Superman film franchise, Dan Jurgens was the Superman comics franchise.

I think New52 Superman dies. Notice there's no Batman/Superman title. I would be pretty sad if he did, since there goes the bromance BFF between Bats and Supes, since the new *old* Pre-N52 Supes will not have anything history with current Bruce.
