Uh, like for real? Sure, I would totally be up for that, long as you don't send me anthrax or nude pictures or spam or all of the above, yeah absolutely.

Absolutely not. You'll just receive a bubble mailer with the comic inside, and nothing else. I promise this isn't a scam or anything.

EDIT: So yes. As long as there's no objections to something like this (had to ask, sometimes there are), I'll post sometime during the day (I'm thinking late morning or afternoon), the phrase UP, UP, and AWAY! (nice and cheesy), and the first person to PM me their full name and address after that post will get the personalized issue of Superman #707 from Roberson. Good luck!

Except for Daredevil...and Bullseye...and Kingpin... Elektra...I guess everyone from Daredevil. Oh and Batman, Question, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Barry Allen, The Atom, Plastic Man....I'm sure I'm forgetting some. To use the Dark Knight characterizations outside of Miller would be a stupid idea that I agree with. Although, that doesn't make his argument about Superman any less valid.

Finally got the new Action Comics issue guest starring the Secret Six thought that it was pretty fab. Vandal Savage really is a giant dbag

Interested to see what Lex has promised Scandal

And Jeanette wants a robot Lois too. Her and me both :awesome:

I really do not like how Miller writes any of those characters apart from the Daredevil ones

Miller's Daredevil is absolutely the best superhero work he's done...I have a feeling when he's forced to do in continuity books, hes on his best behavior, hence the reason why Year One was so good.

In which story did did Miller write Captain Marvel, Barry Allen, The Atom, or Plastic Man all that impressively?

Some people work well outside the box. Miller.... clearly needs to be inside the box.

Dark Knight Strikes Again. Captain Marvel and Plastic Man are not treated this well in normal continuity this past few years, aside from Morrison and Kyle Barker. There isn't anything overtly impressive with the others but he does capture a larger than life aura with them that I think is missing in most superheroes books these days which seems obsessed with telling us: "These are normal people, just like you!"

We're going to have to agree to disagree here. I like it when Miller rips all the toys out of the toy box, breaks them, and then cuts it in half the box in half with a chainsaw. Even he did it in his more "safe" works of Daredevil and Year One.

When did Frank write the Question? Was it TDK2? I blocked most of that book from my memory.

Yes. Although that resembled Ditko's original version than the modern version.

I thought the way he wrote The Question in TDK2 pretty much sucked

Find most of Miller's work painfully boring apart from Daredevil

It's surprising what a change in writer can do to a book. I caved a got the issue where Roberson took over. Gone is the awkwardness of the story and the horribly stilted dialog. Is it good, eh, I'm still not really a fan but it's heading in the right direction. I'm still not buying Superman's argument that he has to do the walk. It is less egotistical than when JMS's wrote it so that's a good thing.

Now the one scene that bothered me was when Superman elevates himself from jerk to fascist where he tells Lois that she will not publish a story. I get why Superman doesn't want the story to be publish but to me he almost seemed like he was threatening her. He does come off pretty scary in that scene. I wasn't going to continue but it's heavily implied that someone is playing with Superman's mind and the cliffhanger at the end changed my mind.

Was not impressed at all with that issue still not liking this Grounded arc even with the new writer

Going to wait till it is over before I start buying it again

Loved the conclusion to the Action Comics and Secret Six crossover this week especially the scenes where first Scandal then Bane put that dbag Vandal Sacage in his place

And Simone wrote Lex really well thought that it was a great ending to the crossover

Thats cuz when Lois sees Clark do things like this...she knows she better listen...lol...

which makes me think...why is that Clark is portrayed to be weaker then he actually is...this guy could take over the planet if he wanted to without hesitation....

I really did not like how Superman was pretty rude to Lois.

yeah, how he treated her better have something to do with the implication that someone has been messing with his head. at most, if supes didnt approve of her writing the story, he should have voiced his disapproval but given her the freedom to make her own choice, making the consequences her own.

Heh, it will be funny if Roberson explains the super-dickery of JMS' Superman displayed thus far by some kind of mind altering.

They should have Jimmy and Lois stumble onto a bunch of Silver Age Superman comics and be like, "I... I remember! Superman's always been a dick!"

i might drop superman for now, i feel like i'm just wasting my money. and remember folks, i own everything from last year, all the new krypton stuff.

Yeah I'm done with this book until they're finished going through the motions with JMS's leftovers.

How did the Secret Six crossover end? Did i miss anything important?
