:awesome:

And Starman playing in the opening scene of Superman coming to Earth.

Also, if the rumors are true and Zod is the villain that is not groovy. I'm sick of people going back to the Donner well. Do something new!

I miss Darkseid:(

The should have never killed off the New Gods IMO Final Crisis was just a complete mess and a big waste of time including this whole Bruce Wayne saga. I mean I would have left it with the readers thinking he did die not showing that he lived. Then you could have built up to his return through Blackest Night for both the readers and DCU instead of the way they did things.

You are depressing me with all these things that should have been, so awesome :csad:

So that's where Lex's hair went. Darkseid Omega Sanction it off.

Interview with Cornell on stuff

I usually am not a fan of this type of stuff, but I have enough faith in Cornell to pull this off and be fairly fun.

I didn't have a problem with the idea of ending the New Gods per say, though we know it won't be an actual end anyway (I'm pretty sure that Kirby created the New Gods to be a finite set of stories and characters anyway). I just wasn't fond of the way Morrison totally threw out Orion killing Darkseid, since that's supposed to be a key part of the character, and the fact that ultimately the New Gods were really just the precursor to the Dark Monitor. Felt like it robbed them of it being a true, big send off, so to speak, for them.

Superman's rogues gallery doesn't just consist of Zod and Lex, either. I really hope they pull Brainiac off well, but I'd love to see them open it up to the likes of the Parasite or Metallo instead of yet anotehr Zod film.

I still can't believe Action Comics starring Lex Luthor is in my top 3 titles I pick up every month. I haven't been disappointed by Cornell yet. Something about those Brits man. I think my favorite writers are all British, or Scottish.

Can't wait for the next issue, Cornell is kicking ass.

Great preview page. As much as I'm loving Cornell's take on Luthor, I'm really looking forward to seeing him write Superman...it's been so long since I've actually read a Superman book and enjoyed the character.

^ I know the feeling. Whenever I can't get to sleep, instead of taking sleeping pills I simply read the latest issue of Superman written by JMS. :awesome:

Yep will be neat to see Cornell's take on Superman when Lex's story is over

I was riveted when the "social commentary" was called "Green Lantern/Green Arrow" and when it was written by Dennis O Neil. And when it came out in the 70s.

Oh and when it WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTING TO READ!
