I don't like the flat soles and the silky fabric look in this image. I was one of the few supporters of the sneakers. One of the reasons I like TASM was because it did it's own thing. Particularly in the costume design department.

Just a repeat of what you already read in the comics ? Well then just read the comics and be done with it. I loved loved loved the tiny details of the TASM suit.

Admitted you don't see much of the feet in TASM. Let's hope they can follow suit with TASM2.

Who cares? Seriously! You know who walks on something like that? SPIDER-MAN DOES, on regular basis in comics

maybe the shoe soles are inside the costume this time. Suspend your disbelief a little, it's not like the shoes were that fabulous

They made padded soles for the old series shoes, this one is probably the same
I hated the suit of Amazing, got over it, liked the suit eventually
Can't people do the same with this?

This is finally the beloved classic costume and I've heard mostly complaining in these threads

I liked the first one. I also like the second one for different reason. they've gone back to the classic, get over it. Things could be worse

I hated the costume from TASM, and thought Raimi did a near perfect adaptation of it in SM 2. But the new costume is just the best I have seen ! from the belt to the gloves with the webshooters, and the eyes shape. It's terrific (And it comes from a man who didn't like TASM)

Take Bagley's Ultimate Spider-Man, add some of Acheson's motifs, and you get this.

I've no complaints. It looks good. Hope the rest of the movie is a pleasant surprise.

I still haven't seen the perfect Spidey suit (for me).

Raimi suit -
I want it to have black webs and Romita eyes also the round red spider on the would have been nice.

Webb suit -
Didn't like the leg strip, would have like the red belt.

Webb suit Mark II -
Would have liked the ASM material but with classic Spidey design.
Jet black webs.

So for me;
Classic Spidey design
Romita eyes
Jet black webs
ASM material and colours
Red round spider on back
= perfect Spider-Man costume

The new costume is about 90% of what I want to see.

I'm on the boat of fans that liked the Reboot Suit. It looked great in the movie.

I don't like the new cartoon version honestly. I love the shape and size of the new eyes but wish they just put them on the part 1 suit.

I've never liked the original trilogy's suit. Yes I now that one and this new one is the closest to the comics but I going to miss the reboot suit.

IMO, the eyes on the Raimi/Webb suit are far better than the new one. I don't get why the eyes have to be bigger. If anything, make them similar in size to the Raimi suit.

IMO, if they had kept the red torso and arms as thin as TASM, the eyes smaller, kept the boots the same size and make them also look more like sports footwear AND keeping the segmented glove design, I'd have been happy

But you know what really matters at the end of the day?? That the film is just damn good

But you know what really matters at the end of the day?? That the film is just damn good

apart from the eyes, I agree with you. (which is wierd, as I'v always been a fan of the smaller eyes in the comics, but them lenses look stunning imo) Especially the boots! The arms to still look thin, just not as thin as TASM. which I'm glad about.

Also I would say have kept the embedded spider with the web design as that was on of my favourite things on the TASM suit, and the colours.

The new suit looks excellent and a refreshing and welcome change from TASM suit which I was never that fond of. I am glad it has returned to the classic look and that the webbing doesn't even seem overly raised. I prefer the new eyes too and am glad the belt is back and the scaly texture has gone.

I wish they kept the trainer look from the first ASM, that looked better and made more sense than those all in one boots.

It's odd he went from this expensive looking suit texture to what seems like lycra.
