Completely! No one has ever had me into a book as much as JKR. The way she wrote Umbridge was terrific. I loathe that character more than Voldy. I've never hated a fictional character as much as I hate Umbridge.

completely agreed. Harry just didn't learn sectum sempra soon enough.:o

The woman in the movie isn't fat enough, but I'll let that slide.

Can anyone post download links to these? I really want to see them but IESB always takes so long to load for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Read George R.R. Martin. What you said about JKR applies to him for me.
Look at my Avvy and sig, I'm completely obsessed with his books.
And he'll make you hate many of his characters. I hate Walder Frey with a passion because of him.

I have too many books as it is, but I will seek out this George R.R. Martin's works.

Uh oh, times didn't like it. ****, I knew the movie would be too pedestrian and paint by numbers like what's his face, chris columbus and to some extent newell. Still the fun of seeing the characters will be the reason to watch nonetheless. I'd watch them just sitting around eating cheese because I like them so much.

Who is going dressed up? My cousing is a goofy nerd and he loves Harry Potter more than anyone I know. He wants to go dressed up but I haven't decided yet. I would just do it to be funny, not be serious.

Cool. I'll look 'em up.

I'd never call myself a goofy nerd. Hmm, usually I just wear a shirt(pirates shirt to see pirates, spidey shirt to see spidey), and I just recently got a new Potter shirt so I'll definitely go in that. I don't think I'd ever go as a Hogwarts student, idk why, just don't think the costumes are that cool. But I might go as Snape for Halloween. When I went to see GoF, alot of parents had their children dressed up. In Atlanta we have a huge 3 story mall and on the third floor is just the IMAX theater. Usually when a big movie comes, they dress up the top floor. When I saw Pirates there were props set up everywhere and mannequins in Captain Jack clothes 'n all. Hopefully we have the same kind of treatment for Order. When I saw GoF I had showed up like 30 minutes early and the line was probably the longest I've ever seen in a theater, I skipped in front of a few unsuspecting people.:ninja:

I didn't read the article, but Mugglenet made it sound like the Times was just more excited about the book than the movie. That while the movie is good, they're really just looking forward to the book.

times kinda says it's become stagnant at this point and the movie's not really progressing the story much or pushing the actors much further than goblet did... they better be lying.

One review won't make or break the film's success at the box office... and besides, it's their opinion on it. What may seem "stagnant" for the Times may be seen as "refreshing" by other reviews.

well they say it's decent, and from teh clips, the movie really does seem decent...

but decent isn't enough for me. I want them to give us excellence with these flicks and really put lots of honest effort into the crafting of these films which makes them artistically sound films that stand on their own in that respect which is what Cuaron did with his film despite it being a little too fast.

But if it isn't it isn't. Decent will be ok as long as they:

1. Explain Priori incantartum

2. show harry's dad and sirius etc. using the mauraders map.

I NEED them to realize this needs to be touched on in this or the next movie to help flesh out things in potter 3 and 4.

And maybe also give us a clue as to how dumbledore figured out mad eye wasn't mad eye. these oversights should have been dealt with but weren't.

Yeah, I hate them overlooking the oversights.

11 film clips.

Based off these, i know this will be my favourite potter movie..The style seems to be more like a more stylish Columbus with touches of Caurons darkness, the music is also much more similar to the first 2 movies.

I only watched about half the clips, but they were really good and give me more hope that Yates "gets it" unlike Newell. Just really hoping it doesn't feel rushed from a pacing standpoint.

Emma doesn't get enough credit i think she's a great actess and much better then Lohan and other favorite young teens. Her and Rupert i think will have desent careers.
I can't imagine anyone now playing there parts.

Emma's really good. I don't know why she deserves such scorn.

well here's what I want to see for the next two.

The Half Blood Prince, directed by Ridley Scott. YEAH!

The Deathly Hallows, directedy by.

drumroll please..

TIM BURTON.

what? want to fight? I'll defend it to the deth.

Well, there are only two posters here that are constantly bashing her. The rest of us think she is a good actress.

Yates is already confirmed to direct the sixth one and is in talks to direct Deathly Hallows as well.

I agree Emma is good.

I love Ridley Scott, he'd do great. As for Burton, he's one of my favorite directors but I wouldn't want him to direct it because his film would be way too dark and very distinct from the other 6.

But like Darkly said, I believe Yates is confirmed for Year 6 as well.
