what he say?

He said a lot of stuff im sure its on Youtube or something. It was just so much different from all the other interviews and I think its because you know its Leno, Dan knows this and he gave much more broad answers.

They actually took it down off YouTube I just did a search and NBC took it off due to copyright.

Why isn't Morgan Freeman in these movies?

Why isn't Morgan Freeman in the books?

I honestly think he could have played Dumbledore if they overlooked the accuracy of the character being white. I think his mannerisms pull it off.

Completely agree. But they only cast people from the UK in the HP films. At least we got Kingsley Shacklebot, even though thye should have looked past the UK only thing and cast Sam Jackson:oldrazz:

This cracked me up from Ebert's review.

An early scene illustrates this change. Harry and his cousin Dudley are attacked by Dementors, and in desperation he uses a secret spell to defeat them. But that earns the disapproval of his superiors at Hogwarts, and he is threatened with expulsion, because the spell is not to be used in public around Muggles. What is it, like a secret Masonic grip? When you're about to get your clock stopped by Dementors and you know the spell, what are you expected to do? Fall over passively and get Demented?

^Good God critics...do they not read the books? How many times have they said in the movies that using magic in front of muggles is strictly forbidden especially if you are underage???

Mr. Ebert was just joking:oldrazz:

He does have a point though. If it comes to doing something illegal or basically getting killed or hurt, opt for the former.

I read that in Ebert's review as well. I think he missed the point that putting Harry through all of that after the dementor attack was part of the Ministry's smear campaign to brand him as a liar. They didn't care what he was doing, it just added fuel to their fire.

Damn dude.
Ah well, I've grown to appreciate normal movie theaters.
IMAX is good, but I finally realized it is actually a bit too gigantic.
Oh well, still have my 10:00PM tickets for it, w00t!
That last 20 minutes should be epic.

I saw Spider-man 3 twice in IMAX. And yeah, while it was a great experience (excluding the sound, which I expected to literally blow me away), it wasn't everything I imagined it to be. But I really want to see Phoenix in IMAX, mainly for those last 20 minutes which should totally be epic. I just wish I had bought a midnight ticket for any old theater tonight, because now I have to go watch Goblet of Fire instead. Which isn't bad, but still.

I have IMAX tickets for tomorrow night at 8, but I found out they're also having a 3am "pajama party" showing tomorrow as well. And it's sold out! That totally sounds like fun. :woot:

I'm a little sad they didn't include the brain and time room segment into the movie. My goodness, that would've been glorious.

So..should I quickly read through the book before seeing the movie?

^ Haha. Yeah, maybe if you want to understand things better.

I just got back from seeing the movie, and it's a very good looking movie, but I think they need to work on building up to and explaining things better. I enjoyed it and it made me look forward to things to come... that said, there are some elements of the movie that deserved better.

The music really ruined the movie for me. Funny how the tone of the film got darker, but the music was lighter and more frivolous than the first movie. I expected a stronger score with darker and more urgent themes. Just a fine example of how the wrong music can ruin a movie.

Saw the movie last night at midnight. I'm notgonna spoil anything..if you want know anything look back in the thread. In my opinion it was the best movie yet. I know people are going to hate Dan's preformence, but I thought it was his best yet in the film with the exception of the first at least. The "LOOK AT ME" part was really cool. I think he does better when he's angry. The DD vs. LV fight should have been longer. Sucks they put in when he turns the statues alive. I'm probably going to see this in IMAX now.

but they didn't believe him about the dementors in first place, that was the problem. Harry was absolved just because Dumbledore brought a witness and that was incontrovertible
