Main ride in Potter World to be Ford Anglia?
A news station in Orlando recently filed a report concerning the upcoming Potter World theme park, which clues us in on what may be coming. "Industry insiders" have told Local 6 that the centerpiece attraction in the upcoming Harry Potter theme park will be a "ride in Ron's Flying Car."

Additionally, Universal hints "it may need to retheme the Dueling Dragons and Flying Unicorn roller coasters to become part of Harry Potter's world."

As always, we'll keep you updated on these rumors! Thanks to Hannah and her dad for the tip.

is the harry potter movie in imax gonna be entirely 3d or just a couple of scenes??

The finale of the film (which will be the climax in the Department of Mysteries) will be in 3D during the IMAX showings, the rest of the film will be in 2D.

As for my post regarding the cover of the OOTP soundtrack, I have gotten word that the cover art is false and that we'll get official art for it soon. I imagine it will use the domestic one-sheet art or the international posters for the CD artwork.

04nbod, the reason why the theme park is going to be in Florida is because the climate is much more agreeable than that in the U.K. or Scotland. Stuart Craig said it himself, you know.

thats no good reason at all. How is in different from the pleasure beach, alton towers or thorpe park. Let florida make do with disney. Surely rain and dark clouds would only add to the atmosphere and realism:woot: If this is a success you can bet a replica will turn up in england and then these excuses can be damned

Why not place the theme park in Virginia? They should have made a deal with Anheiser(sp?)-Busch and put it at Busch Gardens Europe. It would fit in. It's heavily wooded, like the area around Hogwarts is, and a new Dragon coaster would fit in with the theme of the other coasters.

Personally I am not happy with the theme park being in the States. Everything about HP is so British. It's set in Britain for one, it has a British sensibility, the movies are shot in Britain using British actors, the author is British...and they set it in the states. Mental.

^It's not that it can't be in Britain...it is finding people to fund the little venture and it gets built where they want it.

I understand the reasons as to why it's in the US, doesn't mean I am happy about it though.

^Make Rowling do it...she has a crapload of money...

And I am sure she will have a crapload more with this whole theme park thing.

What I am going to say is to anyone complaining about the theme park being in a America.

#1. WB is an American based company, and since they are behind the films, and are funding this theme park venture it will be in America.

#2. It is almost always warm at Universal Theme Parks so the theme park can stay open almost completely year around. It is harder to find a place like that in Britian.

#3. Universal is known of Global-wide. It attracts people from everywhere so it makes even more sense to put the theme park at Universal from a Marketing standpoint.

You quoted the post in which I said I understand the reasons. I didn't need you to list them for me.

And once again. I understand the reasons, doesn't mean I am happy about it though.

So... who makes it a rule not to read or watch interviews with Radcliffe, Grint, Watson and the rest of the cast? I know I do. I tried both reading and watching their interviews and found them... irksome. Once out of boredom I flipped through an interview done with the 3 leads, in which Watson commented that she had "read scripts" for non-Potter projects but turned them down because she didn't feel "passionate" about them. I wonder if that's a sign she won't last in the world of acting and films after the Potter franchise wraps? To quote HOLLYWOODLAND: "Sometimes, an actor has to work." It's pretty much fact that actors have to take roles first because they pay the bills and, in the case of those rising to real stardom, keeps them in the public eye. Then, if you're lucky enough to have any kind of power in Hollywood, you can start having your pick and choose of what you want. If you can't accept the fact that you'll have to take jobs you don't necessarily want, then acting is probably not for you.

^^^ I read somewhere that Emma said she was only gonna do the HP films and then....Stop acting.

I usually avoid any kind of interview or television appearence by the three main actors. Not su much Grint, but certainly Watson or Radcliffe. They annoy the living poo out of me (which you would think is a good thing) and I just can't stomach watching them.

If Watson is giving up acting after Potter, I say good. It's bad enough watching her in the Potter movies, but if she were in more movie or tv roles, she should be put on trial for crimes against humanity.

wtf, she's been one of the strongest child performers in the films besides rupert.

Is this just another case of exaggerated internet hate?

Nope, this is a case of I don't think she's talented. I haven't for years, nothing to do with the internet. I don't dislike Grint as I think he's a strong performer. It's down to talent and I don't think she has any.

Well she's no drew barrymore but I think's she's doing fine.
