Yeah, I too fear that Luna's gonna be watered down or "Americanized" somehow.

Cutting out the Weasley Is our King subplot sucks. Even if he won't admit it in interviews, I wouldn't be surprised if Rupert Grint is pissed about that.

I would think he would be too. There was an interview on the GOF disc where the three actors were talking with fans. Grint said the thing he is looking forward most to about OOTP was actually appearing in the Quidditch scenes. I would say he's pissed about having that taken away from him.

I am so looking forward to seeing him on the field. I hope they keep the Hermoine part about the House Elves! Maybe they'll figure away to bring 3 points of view to all 3 caracters in OOTP. Instead of the camera always following Harry.

He probably can't talk about it due to contract obligations, but come on, after having so many of your character's lines genuinely-a-good-friend-moments taken away from you - either cut out altogether or given to the most prominent female character for no better reason than the fact that she's the most prominent female character - being portrayed as a Jar Jar Binks style coward and now having your character's only really significant subplot cut, he must be feeling the hate.

'Half-Blood Prince' director revealed?
Access Hollywood via Dark Horizons is reporting that Michael Hoffman is in talks with Warner Brothers to direct Half-Blood Prince, which is due for release in November 2008.

Several readers let us know that actor Jason Isaacs appeared on ITV's This Morning program, where he discussed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He did mention his role as Lucius Malfoy in the movie, describing filming a wizard duel his character has with Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) at the Ministry of Magic that involved lots of wand waving, and the battle between the two characters. TLC reader Vicki told us Jason said something along the lines of "Gary Oldman got very carried away and asked if he could snap a few necks and stab someone with his wand!" Reader Ryan also noted during the interview, Mr. Isaacs talked about having to put away the lovely blond wig he sports as Lucius, as it was heartbreaking now that he has completed filming Phoenix. Anyone with video of this interview, please send it in! Thanks very much to Vicki and Ryan!

Exclusive 'Phoenix' Trailer Synopsis

It begins with the familiar WB logo, flying through the clouds. We hear Sirius Black speaking, talking about Voldemort's return, then we see his face. Cut to Dumbledore, speaking to, presumably, the Wizengamot warning them of Voldy's return, that they should not ignore the signs. It quicky shows what looks like the windows of the Great Hall shattering, but I'm not sure. Then we see Harry, close up with his new hair cut (WHY!?), then Hermione, then Ron. We see shots of Hagrid, and then Umbridge(very quick shot). A small snippet of Harry learning Occlumency: Snape scorns him for being weak minded and Harry says something like "I'm not weak!" to which Snape replies, "Than PROVE it!!" Good lord, my memory sucks. Moving along...then we see: BELLATRIX, WOOT! They show her in all her evil glory, in one shot where it looks like she might be casting a spell or had just cast one. Cut to some more rapid shots of Harry and the gang in some forrest and then: dun, Dun, DUN!!!! VOLDEMORT!! IN SOME FOG!!!! LOOKING CREEPY!!!! Then we see Harry kiss Cho. Yup. They show it. It's kind of a dark shoot, so I couldn't tell if it was Cho, but I'm just guessing that it's her. Cut to a shot of London from afar, with a pack of wizards and witches on broomsticks flying towards it, then we see harry on his broom, from the left side, with a few D.A. flying in the background, as they whizz fast what looks like the London Bridge. And then my mind goes blurry. I think this is wherer I got so excited that I stated clapping, and stopped paying the utmost attention. Or maybe the teaser just ends there, cause then we see the title, with the Harry Potter theme starting up as they show it. FINITO.

Sounds cool, I'm pretty anxious to see it on the big screen.

3 questions:

1) WHY NO THESTRALS!?!?!? They take a whole 45 seconds of screen time prior to the flight to the ministry. I mean, Harry sees them pulling the carriages. Hes confused. Harry has a Care for Magical Creatures class where Hagrid explains them...hell, for the sake of the film makers continued hard on for Hermione, she could just explain them after Harry sees them. Then they fly to the ministry on them. So hard.

2) Why is Dumbledore using Harry's trial to lecture Wizengamont about Voldemort? Wasn't the entire point of Dumbledore at Harry's trial to get there and get out making Harry feel isolated from him? I wonder if he is going to shake Amelia Bones violently like he did Harry?

3) "I'm not weak!" "THEN PROVE IT!"...dear God, they are turning Occlumency into a 1980s Rocky-esque training montage.
