that better make it into the movie, because it looks like she'sdoing it in character...it doesn't look like she did it just for laughs on set

She is great

Man, they had better use Voldemorts theme in this one. I was disappointed not to hear it during his rebirth. I mean imagine that shot where he rises with the theme blaring over the speakers...it would have made scene 10x more powerful. I just don't get why Doyle totally ignored Williams work. :(

Oh and I would like to hear the theme from "A Window to the Past" used again, it has a wonderful "Force theme" feel to it and they need to exploit its greatness in this series. Man, Williams had such a wonderful leit-motif thing going in the series and Doyle just shat all over it.

Then, who is that cloaked figure to the right in the back?

yes, now that I watched it again, you are right, that figure seems to be Voldemort...

I like "Finale" from the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack, it was used in the scene with Harry and Sirius talking before Sirius takes off on Buckbeak, and in the teaser for Goblet of Fire. I really liked that one. It'd be nice to hear it again, but "A Window to the Past" was great.

wow they are even going as far to include the old order of the phoenix picture in the movie.

See, I think that is something that could've been cut, as it is only relevant if you can read Harry's internal dialouge...a luxury film does not have.

what's so spoileriffic about that? its common sense harry would meet voldemort sometime during the movie. they even went to the extent of showing voldemort fighting in the teaser, though from GoF...but even so

hmm david yates said that the movie was currently over 3 hours and he would cut 45 minutes. so that means if the movies like 3 hours and 15 minutes then we have a 2 and a half hour movie. long but still to short. i think david yates will start the editing process and realise its going to be hard to lose 45 minutes of the movie. im guessing around a 2 hour and 50 minute running time.

I really am enjoying all the scenes from "The Order of the Phoenix" during the commercials b/w the harry potter marathon. Bellatrix look good and I saw her stick her tongue out during a scene...I hope that makes it's way into the movie. The only female death eater...welll it will be nice to see her in action and we still get to see Sirius Black, Mad Eye Moody and others.

I've been re-reading OOTP and I really wonder if this movie will be that great. So much of the book consists of Harry's internal dialogue and emotions and it is such an important part of the story and to be frank, I don't think Radcliffe who has proven himself to be a rather poor actor can pull it off.

I suppose, I guess what I am trying to say is that Order of the Phoenix does not really lend itself to film adaptation.

Seriously, stop wasting your time complaining about how you want the movies to be and go work for Warner Brothers...I'm sure your version of Harry Potter is much better.

You do know that not verything on the page can work onscreen? Possibly a reasoning behind cutting a lot. And also, Radcliffe wasn't the best actor in the first one, but he's growing in talent as the years go on. Practise makes perfect.

OOTP doesn't really lend itself perfectly to a movie adaptation. Like Matt says, there's a lot of internal dialogue; thoughts, emotions etc

In the book, I hated Harry's character, basically a whiny git (yes yes, I know he has a lot to whine about, just slipping that in there before people start going off on one). People may say he was written as a typical teenager, but there's a reason I hate teenagers....that's one.

So, for someone like Radcliffe, he has to work very hard to make sure he doesn't come accross as annoying in this movie.

If OOTP doesn't lend itself to a movie adaptation, I really think Half Blood Prince will be worse personally. Even though it's my second favourite Potter book.

HBP will probably end up being the most character driven film of all the potters if they do it justice. I wouldn't mind if they made it around 3 hours and 30 minutes long. Why not? I know they try to keep within 3 hrs because kids might get restless but screw that.

I would hate for the film version of Half-Blood Prince to be worse than the film version of Order of the Phoenix.

I only say it because there wasn't an underlying threat or plot like in the other books. The Half Blood Prince mystery, wasn't really emphasised too much, negating the whole mystery aspect. It was more about Horcruxes and Voldemorts past. Very interesting as a book, but not terribly exciting as a movie.

Screw the damn kids!

I'm sure they'll take some liberties to make it more "exciting" or "intense" or whatever.

If you don't want to hear other people's opinion I suggest you leave a public message board. And I am not complaining, I am making an observation based on my rereading of OOTP. about half of the book consists of Harry's emotions and internal dialogue or visual descriptions. It doesn't lend itself to film adaptation.
