I like Emma Watson as an actress (she isn't great, but she is not bad either) and of course, she is gorgeous

Film opportunity for Potter fans

Evanna Lynch beat 15,000 hopefuls to land the part of Luna Lovegood
Harry Potter fans are being given the chance to star in the sixth Potter film, with two key parts up for grabs.
Warner Brothers is holding open casting sessions in London to fill the roles of Lavender Brown and Tom Riddle.

A similar process gave 14-year-old Evanna Lynch her first film role, as Luna Lovegood, in the forthcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Both roles require actors between the ages of 15 and 18. Auditions will be held in London's Earls Court in July.

The sixth Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, is the penultimate chapter in the series.

Charismatic

Based on JK Rowling's book, it sees Lavender Brown, a pupil in Harry Potter's year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, dating Potter's best friend, Ron Weasley.

Warner Brothers Pictures says it is looking for a "pretty and lively girl" who "tends to be either laughing or crying hysterically".

Tom Riddle is a darker character who is "very charismatic".

Film producers say that "staff and children are probably all a little scared of him".

The audition for Lavender Brown will be held on Sunday 1 July, and for Tom Riddle on Sunday 8 July.

Both will take place at the Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, West London. Applications will be received from 1000 BST (0900GMT) and the queue will close at 1300BST (1200GMT).

Good to see Lavender actually in the film. Least we know she's not being cut out totally.

I would prefer a professional actor for the part of Riddle myself, but well....with these movies you don't get what you want.

totally. I can't undestand why they are doing this. They should give the part to Christian Coulson who was the young Tom Riddle in the second movie.

Oh yeah, he was awesome as Riddle. I would have loved to have seen him come back.

Y'know there have been debates all over the Potter boards at IMDB as to whether or not Lavender is black or caucasian? May sound silly, but it's true.

Man, why do they have Hermoine posing in that fashion? It's just not decent.

He doesn't look anything like how I imagined him.

Here's Harry, Luna, and a Thestral:

I thought she was white myself. ould be wrong, but that hardly ever happens.

Kreacher looks ace though.

I don't know if it's just the pic, but that looks really false there. I do reckon it'll transition better to screen though.

:D ginny looks ready to do some serious damage. nice nice nice. I forgot she was in that part. can't wait

Kreacher looks disturbing.

btw, I always use to pronounce his name "creature"

Kreacher is scary :D But I've always pictured him with his ears up rather than drooping down.
