Best. Thing. Ever! Means they're starting to show some concern.
(Unless it's another user from this board trying to stem the negativity?)

Watch for the script-seeking plants that will show up soon too.

And I wonder... just who is this "Bryan Singer" cat?

Hmmmm...

;)

"Jinx" Ratings!
Ratings for Smallville last night were up a bit, no doubt from the World Series being over. FOX probably wishes the baseball season was continuing, as their comedies did so badly that even UPN's Top Model beat them.

Here's the overnight ratings breakdown:

Timeslot Rank Show Network Overnight Rating (Last week's rating in parentheses)
#1 Lost ABC 12.7/18 (12.5/18)
#2 60 Minutes CBS #2* (5.5/8)
#3 LAX NBC 5.8/8 (5.2/7)
#4 Smallville WB 5.0/7 (4.9/7)
#5 America's Next Top Model UPN 4.6/7 (4.1/6)

#6 That 70's Show (8-8:30) FOX 4.4/7 (N/A)
#7 Quintuplets (8:30-9) FOX 3.3/5 (N/A)

I can't believe that drek show LAX is beating Smallville... I wanted to like it and was watching it, but now that it's opposite both Lost and Smallville, I have the perfect excuse not to watch it: my TiVO can only record two things at a time, not three.

:whew:

Script seeking plant? What's that?

You see the "Bryan Singer" poster? I think he was in the Jinx thread...

How much of the country had Smallville delayed for basketball? I had to wait till around 10:30 so I thought the ratings might be down.

There was a WB promo done during a commercial break here in the Chicago area with Tom saying something like "watch SMallville on WGN.." Did they have that for other areas of the country?

He loooked good, btw. :) I have it on tape and TiVO (which I'm still trying to figure out)

Well, the test is on the table. It's up to him to accept it or ignore it. ;)

Right now, the script is in flux. Bryan and Dan et al can decide to change whatever they want, within reason. But once the film finally starts principle, they'll be working off of final drafts. There will still be tweaks along the way, but the meat and potatoes will pretty much be laid out at that point. This is when they have to guard the scripts with their lives. They don't want another AICN incident. So "plants" will begin posting to message boards like this one requesting scripts, just to make sure none have leaked to the public.

Oh, be still my Superman-loving heart. *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* These are magnificent. Welling continues to get better and better at capturing these ephemeral expressions that, regardless of scene and setting, just scream Superman.

Thanks, Sage.

That it is. But you'd be surprised how fast you learn when you have to. ;)

The top pic reminds me of Superman: Peace On Earth by Alex Ross. There's a panel with Clark Kent sitting in a chair in Superman costume, with a pair of glasses and white shirt on, contemplating and thinking.

Don't know if they intentionally meant do it like that, but it's pretty cool.

its a good scene..i really enjoyed it :)

great pics by the way ...wow! :D

But nothing will ever beat this shot IMO.

The lighting and Welling's cold expression made it great. The lighting giving him blue eyes, the blue sheen look in his hair like Supes in the comics. Pretty good stuff.

Thanks... I know that your motives aren't to show just how much more TW is looking like Supes, but these caps are particularly good at showing that off.

Are you softening on your anti-Welling ways?

Oh, *somebody* has to have a capture of that scene from Transference. Y'know, the one: "Can I have a hug?" LMAO!! That will cheer Jack up. It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it. ;)

Here's the one from DTS:

He's sure being forward with....Lois? I can't tell from the pic. Where's his scarred \8/?

You know, all of TW's above comments seem to reflect my state of mind right now in regards to certain US political events.

Can I have a collective hug round here from all the people who do not understand what the hell just happened? (and then I'll shut up about it)

First we lose Chris Reeve, and now this...ugh...
(coupled with losing Tom...metaphorically)

Just want to say that you guys and girls are where I've felt most welcome lately!

PEACE.

*gives Jack a hug*

Ummmmm. I for one, don't want you to shut up! :)
What I'm curious about is what you feel is the parallel between the superman movie and the recent election. What the hell did just happen?

Ya' know, if there were any posters here who were really straw-grasping, "I believe-in-Tinkerbell" types, they might make the conjectural leap and say someone made a bet that if so-and-so won the election, then so-and-so would be Superman....

Naw, can't be like that. But it was a fun thought experiment.

You could humor us though :)
