Way cool. 'Bout time they start print ads, no time like the Feb sweeps to start I guess.
HAH! Good call!
Although, you gotta wonder how accurate that is... are they actually going to show any football? Would they practice with a recruit this time of year?
Depends upon the time of the year in the show. Has it even been referenced? All we know is that Clark is in his senior year right now.
...which kind of begs another question. If Clark is 17, how is it that Lana is already 18? I suppose it's possible, but I always thought of Clark as being slightly older. Could just be a subconscious thing however 'cause Welling IS older than his on-screen school mates.

Uh, yeah.. that pretty much nails it.

The "hip thing" about did me in.
I'm surprised they let that slide, especially since Alicia promptly climbed on board right afterwards. It WAS quite provocative for a "family" show - but I'm NOT complaining LOL.

hey pat we have this superbowl covered here in Boston. woooohooo
Shhh! Bite your tongue! Don't jinx us.

Rams' fans thought they had it in the bag four years ago too. And they had a two TD spread! The Pats are lucky to get 6 pts. So shush!

I wonder if he's prepping for something?

the role of superman. and here is why... HWSNBN was cast as young Clark in the singerman movie and TW is the really man of steel.

You put weight on when you can't exercise as much.
LOL@all of the theories. Clearly, Welling IS bigger this year - and it IS mostly muscle. Come ON! Look at him!
But as James has pointed out time and time again, that fact in and of itself is not unusual. Welling has put on muscle mass *every* season. Considering the character he's playing, it makes sense. And who knows? It might actually be in his contract as a requirement. That said, it IS fun to speculate, so here's my two cents...
Q: What would Singer and Co. do if something prevented HWSNBN from being in the film?
A: They'd have to get somebody else, and QUICK.
Q. Who else did Singer technically sign for the role?
A. Duh!
Q. Wouldn't any such contracts still be valid, at least until principle started?
A. Makes sense to me.
Q. Would that include physical preparation?
A. Makes sense to me.
Q. With all of the pissing and moaning coming from various SV fishbowls across the net, why wouldn't TPTB put a kibosh on all the negativity by just saying Welling turned down the role?
A. Uh, because he didn't?
Q. With production on SV's 4th season due to conclude in ten weeks, wouldn't we have heard by now what film Welling was signed to that he referenced at the TCAs - last AUGUST?
A. If it was Superman, he probably still wouldn't be allowed to discuss it until after they start. If he has another film in mind for this summer, wanna bet we won't know what it is officially until *after* March 3rd?
Okay, that was three cents. But it was fun throwing that schitt out there. Lets see what sticks.
