Not quite what I meant. I meant it's been almost a year since the announcement of casting for the SR, and I'm bored of the continuous comparisons ... from both sides of the argument. Triplet's merry-go-round would come in handy right about now ...
I knew what you meant. I was just saying that there will be a LOT to discuss in less than two weeks, and if you were bored by the constant comparisons, better buckle your seats; when SV starts back up again, there's gonna be a whole new set of n00bs finding their way to this and other boards with the same old redundant questions and comments.
...the casting of a movie, and whether or not you agree with it, should be a valid topic of discussion on a message board about that film. ...I do think people should have the right to voice concerns and opinions if they want to. And they shouldn't have to "hide" on the Smallville forum in order to do it.
Well, I agree. But people like to pigeon hole other people when it comes to their opinions. If you don't like something about SV or SR, you're automatically labeled a fan of the other and therefore your opinion is moot. That's why I don't enter into debates over yonder anymore. What's the use?
Zing posted a manip of Tom in that thread recently. He got mod-slapped for it. Shocking ...
I know, and I feel bad about that 'cause I was the one who goaded him into posting there. I thought folks could appreciate the work involved, but if you've seen the last two day's worth of posts in that thread, you'll see why it's probably a good idea to keep the manips separate. 'Sides, we have our own thread for Welling manips. It's *specific* for him only. At its current count of 611 posts, it's the sixth largest thread in the entire SV forum. That's pretty cool.
Anyhoo, SV and SR are both about Superman. To think that one won't be brought up in comparison to the other is silly, especially when both have ties (vague or otherwise) to Donner's classic film. And as I've demonstrated above, there ARE ways of making comparisons without being specific, off topic, or against board rules. When it comes to posting pictures of our dear Mr. W., we could be here for quite a while. LOL
