I wish I could translate into Footy terms for you, but I can't...

Thanks.

How do you know that colloquialism.

Mmm... there's more where that came from...

Keep 'em coming, Pat.
Personally, I'm fond of pics of those lips in action as well...

I'm a Russell Crowe fan. He played a footy playing gay plumber in a movie with Jack Thompson, The Sum of Us.

:D

I love Russ, even though he's not around much any more with only doing one movie a year now. :(

You know, I was sent what I was told were excerpts from Tom's interview in Cosmo, but it turns out that it's the entire article ... interesting.

damn anyone who gets to kiss lana is a one lucky guy!!!! its a divine right to be lucky if u kiss kristen kruek :P

"Hey, Superman, you're not so tough!"

Hee! Just picked up the February issue of Cosmo. My advice to Tom? Stay outta bars. LOL ;)

I just dug out my tape of the Golden Globes from... 2002! (Gee, wonder whatever possessed me to do that? :p ) Anyhoo, if screen caps don't exist, I can make some for folks if they're interested. There's some red carpet stuff, and of course the award presentation itself.

Aight, going back to Snickersville... err... Smallville. Don't mind me. ;)

You know.. I swear, I used to have that clip. Perhaps I just viewed it and forgot to save it. :( I'd love to see it again.. or just caps. I have a few pics from that event, but not many.

Here's a nice one from www.devotedtosmallville.com
I think if you look up the word, "charisma" in the dictionary, you see this picture. ;)

I love irony. :p

Serene, the pic from DTS isn't linking unless you cut and paste it. If folks can't see it, here it is. (I reduced the size - the original is huge)

I've got the whole show plus all of the red carpet stuff and after party footage. It would take me a while to find all of his clips, but I scanned the tape quick last night and found the red carpet scenes, and I probably could find the actual award presentation fairly quickly because I'm fairly certain I know which one he handed out: Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

For James, and those in the know:
How do I know all this? More irony: That's the award John Corbett was nominated for his role in Sex and the City. It's a small world, folks. :O

They do, but not at great quality. If you would be willing to pass on lots of nice shiny screen caps to a certain someone, he would post them a certain somewhere and be very grateful. :p

Oh sure, no prob.

Tonight is SV night though, so either Friday or this weekend. The tape is SVHS, and it hasn't been viewed more than a few times, so the image quality is excellent. Just so you know though, my software will only do 640 x 480, and the network the show was broadcast on had lots of advertising overlays and crawls. That said, Tom looked amazing! Of course, I'm sure you already knew *that*. ;)

I've already got the presentation on my computer, which I could upload quite easily if anyone wants it.

I dont have any of the after party stuff though. If you have that Pat, that would be interesting.

Still haven't gotten around to those screen caps, but I will do them. I got side tracked tonight by watching The Fog commentary track.

Speaking of which...

Well folks, it probably wouldn't hold up in a court of law (LOL), but it's good enough for me. Selma Blair must be pretty short because she needed to stand on a box opposite her scene with Welling. Wainwright doesn't say how tall Blair is, but he's very specific about Welling:

According to the director of The Fog - somebody who should know - Tom Welling is 6'4"

He says so on the commentary track of the DVD. Not "ish." Not "about." Not "around." He's 6'4", period. So there ya go.

6'4"...*sigh*
Indeed. It's nice to have something "real" to reference as well. All of the comparison shots and theories in the past were just our educated guesses.

I would imagine the subject came up on set - either out of necessity for camera angles or wardrobe, or somebody just asked out of curiosity. It didn't sound like a factoid Wainwright pulled out of the ether, and I see no reason for exaggeration. Unless I *hear* Welling say otherwise in an interview or something, I'm gonna go by what Wainwright said. I don't always trust the print media. ...I could add a snarky comment here about how they've been known to sometimes exaggerate an actor's weight by a good 50 pounds, or height by 2 or 3 inches, but I'll.... Oopz! Guess I just did. Oh well. :O :p ;)

I always thought so too, but an inch difference is hard to see. It's a good thing Schneider is as tall as he is because Welling would have towered over everybody on SV, especially when he's wearing those work boots they often put him in.

During the scene with Blair in The Fog, she turns and walks off camera and *just* as she leaves the frame, you can see her stepping DOWN off of the box she was on. Wainwright points it out. It's pretty funny.

Y'know, even though their heights are so different, I still would love to see Blair play opposite Welling in another film. There was definitely a spark there; it was electric. It was certainly a LOT more entertaining than him and Grace. Go figure?
