Looking at those last four just makes you realise how vulnerable Clark can be. I like that aspect of his character and Tom does such a great job of portraying it.

I think that that was what I was looking for when Chloe found out about him, and I hoped that they would be able to expose that side of him a bit more.

But I havent really seen it, and I was just thinking that Lana would bring that out him and why I probably so desperately want her to find out.

I agree. He pulls off the anguish well and makes it very believable. Acting out physical pain is difficult when you're just standing there and the director shouts, "okay, NOW, you're in pain. Drop to the floor," or something like that. But in those scenes from Unsafe, there's an internal pain that has to be emoted without making it look like you're frustrated. That can be even harder to express. It's a fine line and very nuanced. And it's NOT over-the-top. It's the kind of acting that shouldn't be obvious as "acting." Hard to explain. The audience has to know that the wheels are turning without actually seeing them move. Y'know?

I think that that was what I was looking for when Chloe found out about him, and I hoped that they would be able to expose that side of him a bit more.

In general or are you talking specifically? They sort of touched on his concern with Pete, so I'm wondering if doing the same with Chloe wouldn't seem more like a rehash?

Clark is over concerned about Lana knowing because, in his words, "there's always gonna be someone trying to find out about me and as long as we're together, they're gonna be watching her every move." Well scheeeeeit, Clark. What's Chloe, chopped liver? LOL He hangs around Chloe as much as he does Lana.

Yeah, I'm sure she will. Eventually. Probably won't be till the end of the show though, especially considering the events of Reckoning.

I've always said Tom Welling is a natural actor. He becomes the character that he is acting and that's why he can make those scenes so believable. He doesnt pull any strategies out of the acting pot to enable him to do what he does.

Why did they have Lana see the ship and the Kryptonians? Why have her working on the meteor showers etc? The only conclusion that can come from it is that it all relates back to Clark.

They may not tie everything together the way people want, (stones, Isobel) but they always conclude the arc.

Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, something like that. I like seeing emotional Clark but I also like to see the other characters help him deal with it. I think Lana is the only character who is going to be able to give him the responses that I want to see.

I think that's what its all building up to. Once Lana breaks up with Lex the only logical thing that is left for her character is to help Clark towards his destiny, as a friend. I believe a couple of seasons of that would work really well.

Nicely put, avid. It's always kind of bothered me that, on the surface, it could be interpreted that he's not as concerned about Chloe's welfare because he's okay with her knowing about him, but panic-stricken at the idea of Lana knowing. But we all know that he's just as concerned for both of them. He couldn't prevent Chloe from knowing, but he can Lana.

I hope this is televised. That's too short of notice for me to fly out and hang with avid on the golf course. It's funny that we just heard Jensen saying in that TV Guide special that he golfs with Welling, and now Tom's in a tournament.

But, one thing that I notice that is very cool. One of those celebs is the cousin of a good friend of mine. Seriously. I'm going to ask her to call him and request a picture.

Not sure about the Taurus thing (LOL), but I agree with you on the other point. He strikes me as the type of person that would have nothing to do with this kind of exposure unless he A. wanted to be there, and B. could actually play.

That street scene from Void got a mention over on Vancouver24hrs...

The star of the long-running hit series Smallville recently proved he didn't need the help of a stunt double while shooting on location downtown near Robson and Homer.

Tom Welling, who plays a young Clark Kent in the series, performed several stunts himself, even walking on a wire for one scene. Welling was caught on film by paparazzi during a break in shooting near the library.

The 100th episode of Smallville recently received good ratings south of the border. Cast and crew will continue shooting season five until the end of April.
