The Official Trophies Thread!!!

Alright I'm quite heavily into Achievements but now that the future of XBox is in no way assured I might start having to hedge myself and think about going for the trophies on my PS3 games (have played most of them at my neighbour's house but not on my own account). IF that ever happens will probably retire Achievements at some nice round number..maybe 200k/300k by the time I've done the campaigns of the games I own & haven't started lol.

One main question...is there an overall number equivalent to gamerscore with trophies? Like do you still get 1000 points somewhere when you get a platinum?

Bronze = 15 points, Silver = 30, Gold = 90 and Platinum = 180. However does arent numbers you can see and only the trophy and total count are listed

The points do get added to overall PSN level. The level number is the closest equal to a gamerscore.

Oh yeah I remember that now actually (although didn't know about 180 for platinum). Don't suppose if you added up those trophy scores for a base game without DLC it would add up to 1000?

Yeah, I thought I saw some kind of PS3 overall trophy leaderboards a few years ago which had all the info like numbers of each type of trophy, total trophies, level and then a big number in the hundreds of thousands for the top people which looked like overall gamerscore. So I guess this number is not displayed anywhere or any way of finding it out?

Good to know anyway, thanks. I know some people would be very disappointed if MS were forced to stop making XBox one day (probably through their own incompetence rather than anything else) to lose all that but on the other side I'd be able to bank a round score of 100k, 200k or 300k when I'm done with the games I want to finish from this gen on 360 and then start again with trophies replaying a lot of current gen classics and finally getting scores on the ones I've already played. And then do the same with PS4. I'd make sure I had a much tidier profile full of platinums on great games if I did do that.

No, it varies.

As you can see from that, it works out to about 1200 on average but some games will have less whereas others will have more

Could really get into this. I don't really care if the total is 1000 as long as it's somthing like that. 1200 avg is fine.

I'm seeing a lot of people with signatures on that forum that show their total points too.

Virtue's Last Reward done. Not on par with 999, I didn't think but a unique and worthwhile title nonetheless.

Murmasa: Rebirth platinumed. I really think between this and Soul Sacrifice, Vita's had its two best games in the past few months. Rebirth is a nimble, deadly beat 'em up and hard as nails to boot.

For reference, to platinum this game you have to complete it to 100% in a one-hit one-kill mode.

Elsewhere, I'm well on my way to getting TLOU's plat. I've done one online campaign and am halfway through the other. After that it's just campaign clean up on Survivor NG+.

A brisk long weekend (and a day), well spent will Hotline Miami, which is my 60th Platinum

I played the majority of HM when it first released on PC, but I think it controls brilliantly on the Vita, and is a joy to play from start to finish. I only wish there were more of it. Sequel soon

I'm trying to platinum L.A. Noire before GTAV comes out. Little over 2 weeks to get my last 20 trophies, already did the time consuming collectibles.

Also going for The Amazing Spider-Man plat after.

I have the most platinums out of my group of friends at 14, 60 seems unreachable to me haha.

Oh right, that's why they're the same as they both updated.

I think PS3 and Vita trophies are counted together on PSN, but I don't have a Vita so I could be wrong.

Dang! I have a long lost of games I want to platty but since I became a dad two years ago I spend a lot less time on my PS3. And once GTAV comes out I know I'll be playing that pretty much exclusively.

I don't have any platinums yet on my Vita but I know there's an option on PS3 to view ALL of your trophies or just your PS3 trophies.

Vita trophies count towards your level just like PS3 ones. Exactly the same

What exactly is this syncing thing?

It's when you sync your PS3 trophies (achievements) online you earned through PSN and it's servers to show your updated trophy count.

Oh I never did that before. Although I never really went for trophies on that profile. I may start another one and just do Platinums on certain exclusive series.
