Btw, it has been confirmed by Richard DeDominicis (Bryan Hitch's agent) that the last issue of the Ultimates shall contain 46 pages including an amazing 8-page spread!

Ragnarok on Earth? The LoTR orcs and a couple of Legend's main baddy are what the delays are about? Meh! At least it looks like the Rohir.....um, Asgard infantry will be helping out. If Surtur is shown he better not look like...well, you know. I should be impressed by the appearance of the Midgardsorm in that panel but I just see it as funny. The panels look dynamic and he action seems to be kicking, but that's nothing new; at least it's not a drop in quality.

Finally. It looks great so far.
a giant battle on Earth, love pannel one on page two. Giant Woman and Hulk look down right puny compared to the giant Ork looking guys.
I am also thinking with all these monsterous guys wouldn't all of Marvel be involved?
And in the last panel on the last issue Thor was back. So I am guessing this doesn't start at page one of the next issue.

Can't wait, but its only three months away.

its going to be alot to fit into one issue but it will be cool to see,i dont think thor will have any trouble whipping that army out on his own let alone with the ultimates help.


edit.I think this is all one big illusion.Notice how similar the trolls look to abom and hulk.I still dont tihnk thors from asgard or loki ar gods or from asgard but mabey loki can summon solid illusions or mabey there only real if you believe they are.I guess will see,still thor should have no trouble with all this.If it is real id like to see a return of ultimate volstagg

the art has been the cause for most of the delays. hitch is known for delays, although he's supposedly been finished with this final issue since mid-december. they're waiting on the inking/coloring to be finished up.

Doesn't seem forced to me. There has been this build up about wether Thor is the real deal or not and now it's coming to a climax. And with Loki behind everything, you couldn't have possibly not expected this.

It's armageddon in Ultimate, baby.

im still saying thor and loki arent gods or from asgard.I think this is just a mass illusion made real by the ultimates own minds.I think thats what ultimate lokis power is.

Looking at all the detail in those panals. Man, it has to be the art that delays this book. The art is stunning. I just wish he could draw faster....

It's sad that people still read this. Not so much because they're reading a crappy comic, but because their buying this with Pavlovian furor when it does come out only fuels the notion that it's ok for any comic to be late. If it'll sell at the same numbers ten months later instead of one, what's Marvel got to lose? Other than the potential revenue they're pissing away over those ten months where they could've been selling more issues, but clearly that doesn't bother them or they would've pulled Hitch, at the very least, after the first volume.

As impressive as this delay has been, however, I'm still banking on Joe Madureira to top it. That man is the undisputed king of delays, and unlike Hitch, who may very well have been working on the comic this whole time, Joe Mad takes time off to play video games.

true.I had given up on this book.Im still debating on ultimates 3 but moreso over the art.
