The Official Vertigo Thread

Oh my...I wouldn't want them to release a Doom Patrol omnibus for the sole reason that I'm weak and would have to snatch it up even though I own all the trades.

Couldn't pass up the chance to pick up my favorite comics ever in one gargantuan volume.

It would be so amazing

A big omnibus full of Cliff, Jane and Danny the Street being epic together

Hey speaking of Doom Patrol it looks like Danny the Street is going to be in Teen Titans

And it shall be incredible

Heh. Yeah. I just bought the first volume of Doom Patrol in trade so I hope they don't do one too. :oldrazz:

So I noticed there are like 3 or 4 Madame Xanadu TPBs on the Vertigo site...how was the series?

It really was

Some of my absolute favourite comic books and it made me really adore Xanadu

Cover and synopsis for Anthony Bourdain's Get Jiro!

That is awesome news. I really liked that Survival of the Fittest miniseries that they did together. I wonder what the sci-fi book will be like that they do. Either way it will probably be well written and look darn pretty! :woot:

More Sean Murphy is always a good thing. I'm terribly behind on American Vampire so bring on the sci-fi series.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd 2 more trades I'll most likely be buying.

Well, maybe just one. They're putting the Survival of the Fittest mini in with volume three of the main book. Very possible they'll do the same with London and it's corresponding volume.

We all really should be ashamed at ourselves for not posting in this thread more.

I am ashamed as well. My problem is that I'm really behind on my comic reading and have like almost 40 books to read.

Ever since I switched to digital, I've been painfully up to date on my comics.

I've been having to hold myself back from buying copious amounts of back issues to keep my satisfied. :o

That would be nice and convenient, since I'll be ordering the 3 HCs of AV soon (probably a week before vol 3 releases).

I was doing the same thing. I have the third volume of Morrison's Animal Man, the third volume of Fear Agent, and the first volume of Doom Patrol still sitting and waiting to be read.

However, I can't wait to dig into my stack because I've got a lot of Unwritten and Sweet Tooth to get caught up on.

Scalped, I love you. You never cease to entertain me.

[BLACKOUT]FBI! You're under arrest! [/BLACKOUT]

I'm sad Scalped go but the last few issues have been stellar.

Aha!

I just bought the entire run of Y for a dollar an issue.

I'm exicted.

I have all 5 deluxe books for Y, but even I wouldn't turn down a purchase like that.

Comixology.

I'm all digital, fellas.

I saw that tweet by DC and a couple other comic professionals. It would have been freakin' awesome if I didn't already own all the trades and issues. :csad:

Still...nothing beats the Dark Horse sale on Black Friday where you could get every single Star Wars comic they published for 100 bucks. That was a deal of the century...it's just that I don't like Star Wars enough to do that.

I'm glad to see DC is busting out some decent sales now. I'm hoping for a Scalped sale soon as I want to get into that series but don't really have the money for the trades right now.

I was very pleased as Y was one series that I had never really read anything of.

The sales are pretty awesome, but painful on my wallet and conscience. I passed up buying all of Morrison's New X-Men run on Friday for 40 bucks, and I'm not sure if I could be pleased for saving my money, or angry at myself for passing it up,

Booooo.

I can't do that. If I want a floppy I'm going to... well, who am I kidding? I don't buy floppies anymore unless it's the one off sketch cover (which I'm never going sell or use from the looks of it).
