The Official will.i.am/John Wraith Discussion Thread

that sounds so stupid to me. is that their excuse for them all not old by the end of the movie????

when you make every character sudo-imortal it kinda loses it's effect.:boba:

It's always been what they used. Even in the books. Nick Fury just happened to be the first to use it.

Will's "trying to act" face :hehe:

Hey, Wraith had it first. :oldrazz: I like to think Wolverine took one of em or at least that he thought it looked cool and got one of his own.

Musical theatre doesn't equal rap.

Oh, I get it.

You're one of those ignorant minded folks who thinks that hip hop isn't a legitimate form of music, and that anyone in rap is a bunch of uneducated thug gangstas, huh?

The New Orleans sequence might be the best damned sequence in the entire quadrilogy.

First we have Logan going to meet Gambit, and the brawl that ensues in the casino.

Then Logan spills into the alleyway outside, where he meets up with Sabretooth.

Apparently Sabretooth has already killed Wraith, in a fight that has been happening at about the same time.

Logan pops his claws, and Creed remarks "Ooh, shiney".

Follows that up with "Do you even know how to kill me?" to which Logan answers "I'm gonna cut your God damned head off, see if that works."

The 2 fight, and Gambit follows the fight, running across the rooftops, jumping down into the middle of the fight in epic fashion.

Gambit then engages in the battle with Logan and Creed.

That scene is going to be epic win.

Will's "trying to act" face :hehe:

I've never seen him act before, so you never know...will.i.am may end up being one of the greatest actors in the history of mankind. :cwink:

What did you guys think of will i am's performance in this movie? Did you guys like the character of John Wraith?

I thought he did a very good job in the movie and I thought Wraith was very close (but not 100% exactly like) the way he was in the comics. I wish the character had more screen time and did not end up getting killed. IMO, it would have made a hell of a lot more sense (plot wise) if Wraith survived the attack by Sabretooth and went back to 3 Mile Island with Logan and Gambit, since he could have been used as a way to help Logan and Gambit get away from the destroyed Weapon X facility before the authority's arrived. He could also help Logan get out of the country and travel to Japan.

I honestly though Will did pretty damn good for someone new to acting. Way better than most celebrities that try to make the change to acting (Shaq, I'm looking at you). It just seems to work for musicians for some reason. I really did like Wraith because of Will.

Wil.I.Am really surprised me i liked his character and i wasn't the only one in the theater sad that he died

I agree 100%, he did really well, and his death was sad,

I was on the edge of my seat, as I just knew it'd happen if he went up against Sabes, but still I had hope, and then it was crushed

will.i.am really impressed me. I enjoyed his performance a lot.

I did too. I wish he didn't die, but atleast his death was comic accurate.

There was an audible gasp in my theatre when he was killed.

Will.I.Am was good in this film. One of my favorite characters, actually. All of the actors did a great job.

Not only was his death accurate to his death in the comics, his death was done much better in the movie then in the comics. In the movie he died fighting as a brave hero (which is how the character was ORIGINALLY portrayed and written by his creator, Larry Hama), in the comics he died a sniveling coward (Frank Tieri wrote that crappy story).

It is possible to bring Wraith back in the next movie if they want to. They could say that Wraith was given (without his knowledge) a less powerful version of Sabretooth's healing factor by Stryfe before he left Team X. So it would take him longer to recover from his wound by sabretooth. In the comics, all of the Team X members either were born with or were artificially given an age supresser.

Kiddos, I isn't shown cause the movie is aimed at kids, BUT VICTOR RIPS OFF WRAITH'S SPINE!

Great character. I loved his role.

If you and anyone else is interested in reading some cool comic book stories with Wraith in it, I highly recomend you guys track down issues of Larry Hama's WOLVERINE run (I think issues #47-60 of the first ongoing Wolverine series is when he appeared the most, but I could be wrong) and the MAVERICK special (also written by Hama).

I thought he crushed his spine. Remember, this is the same movie where an adamantium bullet can wipe out someone's memory and an adamantium skull can heal a hole caused by said adamantium bullet.:whatever:

Will I am Was awesome as wraith

the promo spot worked really well in telling his conflicts with himself

i was sad to see him die
