The Official Yamcha Discussion Thread

I don't think Yamcha was too old in either the manga or anime. I'd say he was at least close to the age of 30 at the beginning of DBZ.

I always took him to be about 27 or so at the beginning of DBZ.

i forgot. is there a time where they mentioned his age?

Akira Toriyama stated that Goku was 25 while Vegeta was four years older, making him 29 when he first appears.

Yamcha is about 28 at the start of DBZ and Krillin is 24 i believe

Well, those are only estimations as Toriyama (for some odd reason) never stated everyone's age.

Btw, you guys want to know something odd? In reality, Piccolo was only around 10 years old at the beggining of DBZ. Weird, huh?

Young Nameks are pretty cool; Dende during the Namek/Ginyu/Frieza sagas comes to mind.

Dende was one of my favorite non fighting DBZ characters

Dende only got on my nerves in the anime when he was whining during the Namek/Freeza saga. Other than that, he's pretty cool.

I always thought he would have a bigger role in DB:GT but oh well GT sucked

I liked GT, it was just a show that had potential but was under the direction of the wrong people.
