Why in the world would you leave Italy for French football? I know PSG have got a ton of cash now but the French game is really poor at the moment, he'd have been better staying at Palermo.

Probably made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Pastore going to the French league is such a waste of one of the most promising young talents in the game.

Bob Bradley fired as US coach

YES!!!!!!!!!! Get me Jan Klinnsman...JAN

How would you rank the main European leagues now? Even the Spanish doesn't seem that strong at the moment outside of their big two.

Yeah, there's only Barca and Real, but Malaga could be strong too this season. EPL is No. 1, easy. And Bundesliga is very enjoyable too.

Well, it did look like he was not interested in England that much based on what he did say in the past. Probably would prefer to stay in Italy or go to Spain but Zamparini wants money.

Btw, has Newcastle done anything with the freaking money they got from Carroll?

empty promises...I know they made one signing that was decent...But wtf.

I dunno Ive been saying that for years, but in fairness the likes of Sevilla and Villareal have always had pretty good records against Premier League teams of similar ilk. I dunno either if I'd fancy say a Wigan or Bolton beating the likes of Real Sociedad or Malaga. I mean in fairness when did we last have a Uefa Cup winner? Last I remember is Liverpool in 2001 (who were in fairness a top club playing in a secondary competition). I think the top 4 or 5 in England are incredibly strong, but I'm not so sure on the rest.

So according to reports, we're looking to conclude deals for Mata and Jagielka within the next 48 hours. In other words, this means there is 0% chance of us signing either. :hehe:

I heard a rumor that they were going after Ancelotti or Lippi.

We all know Stoke City is going to win the Europa League which would be amazing to even think about it. Stoke City vs FC Barcelona in UEFA Super Cup (Of course this is assuming that Barcelona wins the Champions League again). Andy Gray would have front row seats.

Oh come on Darth we all know Stoke City are a completely different kettle of fish, it's not even fair to compare them to the other riff raff of the Premier League :cwink: lets see how Pique and Puyol deal with Rory Delap!

I'd love to see that match, then everyone could compare the stats

Passes completed

Barcelona - 15,00000000000000 Stoke - 7

They did sign Demba Ba, Marveux and Cabaye - very good players IMO.

Whats the point of the MLS All-Stars???

they are just the best players on their teams...i dont know why they make a big deal...They are random players playing an experienced ManU team that has been together since forever.

MLS will get smoked each time like most teams

I don't know where the dropoff came from because they've beaten some pretty good sides before, Everton, Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham. Maybe they should play a mid table club next season or better yet, East vs West.

As for the selection of MLS All Stars, those weren't even the best players MLS has to offer right now. No Brek Shea, no Hasli, Donovan was out injured, there were a lot of top MLS players out of the game for different reasons.

have they played yet?

I thought Klinnsman was doing some head of football stuff at Toronto?

back in 2010...Who cares now...This guy is the man, he owned on that panel during the recent world cup. He led germany in 2006 world cup and Bayern Munich. :word:

Sunil whatever his name is...FAILED when decided against firing Bradley after the world cup. He now realized he messed up.

We play Mexico as soon as in 10 days. Should be fun

I'm just curious, last year I spent a decent amount of time living in Canada. As I was leaving he was announced as director of Football, I'm guessing from your post Darth he hasn't done the greatest job there?

I'm unsure on Klinnsman, in '06 he was literally just a cheerleader for the country to get behind, Joachim Lowe even then was the brains of the operation. I thought the USA would've been better off getting someone in with a wealth of experience in getting blood out of a stone like Republic of Ireland did with Trappatoni. Just wondering where did it all go wrong for Bradley in our US fans eyes? During the last World Cup our media were waxing lyrical about the team spirit you guys had, whereas I've noticed alot of americans aren't fussed on him.
