The Opening Scene

What do you guys think the opening of this film is gonna be. Just starting with the wedding doesn't seem to be exactly what they're gonna do. I'd imagine they start off the film showing another far away planet being destroyed. Maybe not showing the SS actually doing it but showing him streak away from the blast and then heading towards Earth. Does Reed witness this somehow befor rushing off before he's late to the wedding? Then cut to the wedding.
 
No. I do not think they will start the film with the wedding scene. I think it will start within the 1st 5 to 10 minutes of the film. As to the opening scene. Ben getting the wedding cake would be a good way to start. Then all the guest comming in. Then Stans cameo where he gets turned away. That is going to be funny. :woot: Then the wedding. That is the way I foresee it starting. And mabey a minute with your idea somewhere splatered in there.
 
I'd like to see it open with Doom to set a heavy tone before we get into some lighter stuff.
 
I'd like to see a semi-montage of what has happened with them over the past 2 years....news articles, magazine, photo shoots etc....then the last one the headlines of their wedding...then into the wedding....
 
Mole Man's monster vs FF. That's how I want it to open. Quick ass kickin' and the classic cover shot.

In fact, I think this is essential. We must see that they have become seasoned superheroes since we last saw them.

(The Mole Man's monster would be great, Franklin...Maybe we'll at least get to see that as a still pic in a newspaper or magazine?)
 
I would love to see Doom freed in the opening scenes...then he sees the newspaper or tv that shows that Richards is getting married...and he screams Richards!!!!!!!

Well, didn't Payne say that between films the FF had become very wealthy celebrities and had settled into their roles as "superhero crimefighters"?

Well,

Assuming they take care of Galactus within this movie, that'd be a good way to end the movie. It would also steal back some thunder from the Incredibles who more or less ended their movie that way. It'd make a great set up for 3 in a way that no movie's done since say, the ending of Empire Strikes Back.

He did indeed. I just hope he knows the movie's gotta make like the state of Missouri and show us. :yay:
Still pics on papers and magazines are fine, 5 seconds of CNN footage seen in a bar is fine, but show us the experience.

If it's not in there already and Fox, Story or Payne are reading this: Consider putting some of this together when you're doing the re-shoots and stuff, please. You'll be glad you did.

Yeah, I don't think we have to see any of that in developement....thats why I'd like a montage....real quick of newspaper, media, magazine articles of what they've done over the past couple of years to show that they have developed instead of us seeing the full development and taking up any time in the movie.....

Well, we're only gonna get 105 minutes anyway, so they better make every second count! :p
 
It'll start with the FF taking on a minor villain....this will show us that they've been pretty busy since the last movie.

That or a shower scene.
