The Order: 1886

I'll just have to wait for this to go way down in price.(since you can't rent PS4 games)
Shame about the length and variety of enemies. Even those things could be forgiven if the gameplay is really fun. But it doesn't look to be that fun to play.
And I was really lookin forward to this! Man

what do you mean you cant rent PS4 games? Where did you get that from?

Yeah, I was gonna say, Gamefly is still out there and you still have Shareplay if you really want, ha.

In the end it sounds like this'll be the PS4's version of Ryse: Son of Rome, which was all style and showing off the power of the system, but no substance.

not sure what all the flack ryse got was about, maybe I wasn't paying attention but I didn't see much of it even thought the game itself got less than stellar reviews.

also, whatever the case may be about ryse and its campaign, it had a multiplayer component.

i'm not saying every game has to come packaged with it or the order in particular, but i've been hearing a lot of order association with ryse and its got one key playable mode that the order doesn't have.

I played Ryse on my breaks at EA, I actually really liked it. But it was obvious it was more of a showcase for the system. Incredibly repetitive with only a few attack animations although the executions were badass and the graphics amazing I was bored of it all by the halfway mark. I think that's why the Order is being compared to it at the moment.

And the fact that Ryse had mp coop was news to me actually.

word. would you agree with what everyone is saying about the order in relation to ryse?

I haven't played it or watched enough to say definitely yes. But from some of the more negative and mixed impressions it's looking like the comparison is justified for now.

So the consensus is that this game is garbage?

I should hope not, considering I like most of the dudes that worked on it.

Amazing amount of broken street dates for this game. Holding a game off till Friday rarely works. The stores just start selling the game on Tuesday anyways.

Yes. It apparently lifts Thursday morning. Considering how Sony handles embargoes, it seems they expect less then stellar scores.

I mean can't rent them nearly as easily as with last gen stuff. None of the red boxes in my area offer PS4 or XBOne games. And I have heard that its difficult to rent new games quickly with gamefly. Have you used it?

Yeah, I find that odd that Redbox doesn't offer any next gen games aside from maybe a couple Wii U ones.

Gamefly is difficult, which is why I gave up on it. Though I did have a free trail a few months back, and did get a new game a few days after release.

No but that's a personal issue and a far cry from not being able to do rentals on the system. I don't rent games but if I did, I can do so from my local library and there is Gamefly

I'm surprised this has gotten so much negative "press"(well assuming you consider whiney gamers press). Sony, for the most part, has been above criticism since the P4 dropped. Ah well. I bought my copy through the PSN last night. Been waiting for the next big Sony exclusive. Looking forward to checking this out.

I'm buying it for sure...I love heavily story driven games. I mean...I play the telltale games and that's almost NO action. Just all talk. :)

But waiting a few weeks for the used price to drop down to $30

Is there a reason you need to be a jerk so often? It is the same in the Uncharted thread. You like the game, fine. You want the game, fine. But stop with the petty insults. It is embarrassing and annoying.

really? You dont recall Drive Club dropping and them taking a beating? Sony has gotten alot of good press with the PS4 launch but they havent been immune. All the network troubles which have plagued them the last couple of months hasnt had them fare too well either.

Like I said a hundred times, Sony and Microsoft should have held off on making new consoles. There is so much more that could've been done with the PS3 and 360. I don't expect myself to own a "next-gen" console until another year or so passes. Waste of money and the thing will collect dust just sitting there. Big misses by both companies.

The limitations were evident a couples years before the end of their runs. The truth was they were around too long. The new tech is good, much better then what was before. They just need to use it correctly.
