Ha, not the brightest 2 enemies there heh.
I took a guy's head off completely last night with a shotgun and was shocked haha. I'll probably make a gif of it tonight.

My point is the story is missing something and thus doesn't naturally progress from a narrative standpoint.
It's been a long time since I've played GoW, but The Order uses standard 3rd person shooter cover-based mechanics...and it does it very well. The mechanics and aiming are some of the smoothest I've played in a long time. It's only a pity that there aren't larger areas to really weave in and out of cover from during a battle (there are some great locations, though). But what is there is very fun. From a gameplay standpoint, how does it fair against Gears of War? From what I've seen from this game, they are both similar.
That's actually what I was telling my friend the other day in my initial impressions of the game which I'm really liking. But all the outside noise was pointing to how this may be the first game that I ever have my fingers crossed for DLC.

Never a good way to start praise.I've seen worse. This game is fine on it's own.
Well I was mainly referring to what you said about the unfinished game. I'm also in the ballpark that this game probably needs more content to be a complete package (not longer necessarily). But it's not as bad as games released that are broken and even brought up lawsuits for crying out loud. I just don't think it's a crime it was released as is. The main issue here is retail price and in my opinion I have a strong feeling that if this was released as a $40 title some reviews would not have been as harsh. Not a masterpiece with 10s across the board but slightly improved from the so-so impressions it's gotten.Never a good way to start praise.![]()
the same reason I posted the high review video score from the same site with these below in prior posts. Why did you post that?
the only place so far to give it an 8.

Short Games & Broken Promises
The Order: 1886 is a handful of hours long, poor ol' Peter Molyneux can't catch a break, and Square Enix might be doing something cool.

Andrea Rene and Daniel Bloodworth actually enjoyed The Order. They sit down to discuss their thoughts and criticisms of this divisive game.
