Drama/excitement/emotion - nowhere near if the country you support is in a knockout game.

I think the fact that you remove the business/franchise element from it, and the fact it's so...inclusive in who wins lessens it a bit. Granted, soccer is pretty exclusive in who wins, anyway.

And I don't know, the best thing about the WC seems to be the fans themselves.

Jessica Alba is the queen of overrated. Yeah, she's good lokking. bfd. She's not intellegent, a good actress or a humanitarian. Only good looking. That's it.

Alb and USC have to be the most overrated things ever. In fact, her in an 'SC hat would self destruct the internet with overrated.

It's probably not the same for countries where football (soccer) is not the main sport but ask fans in those countries how much winning the World Cup would mean to them.

....& the exclusivity of the World Cup (6 or 7 teams) is strange as the European Cup has most of the big teams and is won by many different teams. Most countries with no chance of winning also seem to be happy to be involved.

I swear i am the only college football fan to watch his first two seasons. He was mediocre at best, then Weis became the head coach, and he flourished under his system. Now everyone thinks he's deserves a heisman.

Chris Leak/QB/Florida
The so called savior of college football. Every year sports writers pick florida to win the SEC. Every year nobody hears from florida or Chris Leak.
