Changing the subject slightly, has there been a Blu Ray release for season one yet?
Won't be until the show is at least 18 months old.
I cant even get excited for this because after it airs Netflix is going to announce its canceled. I'd respect Netflix more if they just came out and said it now instead of withholding the announcement because they know it will lose them viewers. Chicken****s.

According to Variety, sources have told them that Netflix's deal with Marvel regarding the original four Marvel TV shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) includes a clause which prevents the characters from appearing in any non-Netflix series or film for at least two years after the cancellation of the series.
Yall see this ?
Don't get your hopes up for The Defenders appearing on Disney+ for some time
At least Punisher isnt tied up in that dumb deal.
I saw that and like I said it another thread I will be just as excited for a season 4 of Daredevil in 2 to 3 years as I am today. Same applies for the other shows. So if it takes two to three years before we start seeing new seasons of those shows again but they can resurrect him, I'm all for it
Unfortunately knowing this I'm fairly certain the Defender characters will be getting a reboot. I doubt Disney will want to hold onto the sets, crew and cast in limbo for 2+ years. They'll probably cut the cast and crew loose, and during that 2 years develop new shows with these characters, and as soon as the deal expires they'll start production on the new shows.
And if the cast gets good offers for other roles in shows or movies during that 2 years they probably arent going to pass on them just because Disney might resurrect the Netflix shows. They want to get new roles. So even if Disney does decide not to reboot when they come calling to sign up the original cast some of them might be unavailable.
Disney really should have renogiatiated with Netflix to keep the shows going until 2020 and then transferred the shows to Disney+. I know Disney's got the cash and the leverage to get Netflix to play ball.
I figured there was some type of deal that wouldn't allow these characters or actors to continue on as the characters to happen.
But I mean these shows wouldn't be on Disney+ anyway because they want service to be family oriented. All the Marvel Netflix shows are TV-MA.
Agreed, but that said Disney will own FX and the majority of Hulu. Both of which can support the shows.
