Eh I think the Operation RC icon at the bottom kinda tells us it's about that game

was thinking it was for the films but yeah just seen the logo at the bottom

It'd be a very weird promo for the films. I mean, exposing that Umbrella is evil? The world has already gone to hell.

I still cant beleive they are still making films

I like that idea. I'd like to see a MM where you can choose any character from the entire RE history to play as

Definately. And not only as heroes, but as some of the more humanoid badguys too, like Nemesis.

I'd also like it if you could create a completely new character from scratch. Besides the look of that character you should be able to choose a movement pattern too; like if you want your character to move like a brawler with mostly powerful punch-combos or if you want the character to be agile and do cool kicks and rolls.

To me, the Mercenaries Mode is the thing that makes RE4 and RE5 worth keeping because they are simply really fun to play and thus they should put more work into making this mode even better.

I think I played the Mercenaries Mode once. Probably in RE3, I don't remember, but I don't really care either about the mode.

Mercs is neat because u can play as so many characters, but it's everything that I don't like in the RE games, which is pure action. But it is a side mode and it's neat to be able to dish out punishment after hours of having the pee scared out of ya.

You can't call yourself a RE fan and support those movies. You just can't do that.
You can if you see them as two different universes and that they're only marginally related. I like the games and the movies but I don't pretend they're connected beyond the names of the characters and the zombie apocalypse concept.

It's not that it's a bad adaptation. I find it a bad movie in general.

The movies are pretty bad. Though I did enjoy bits and pieces of the second one. Mike Epps: "Y'all is crazy! Look that big mutha f*!ka's got a rocket launcher!"

Well yeah if you take them seriously. They aren't great cinema but they're entertaining.

I think the movies are still fun. You CAN enjoy the games and the movies, because a fan of horror is well versed in enjoying both good and TERRIBLE horror.

Besides, sure the movies aren't as good as the original few games, but then again, neither are the last few games :P

The RE film series are among the worst movies ever created. Even taking out the videogame angle, they just dont hold up well on their own. Just awful.

I don't think they had the Mercenaries mode until RE4, dude.

Exactly. It's a good mode if you don't feel like going into the storymode again and just want to let off some steam and kill zombies and monsters. However, I surely got some fear in me while playing the Prison stage in RE5 and that big butcher guy suddenly showed up right behind you.

Yea i agree with Havok.

Even putting aside the hatred i have for them using the RE name, i still hate the films. Paul W. Suck Anderson, well, sucks. Dude has never done anything worth a damn.

I watched the 3 Musketeers last week, which I didn't know before was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, and it actually wasn't half bad. He can direct decent to good Movies, as long as he doesn't touch the script.

I still think the Mortal Kombat movie is one of the best adaptations of a video game ever. Guess who was directing that? And "worst movies" ever created? Either you don't watch a lot of movies or you have a very intense hatred of a set of movies which at best are decent and at worst bad.

There are far more truly terrible movies out there. There are even more movies better too but not everyone can stride for best movie ever and the Resident Evil movies never attempted to top anything except making some money. Calling them "among the worst" is really a stretch even for a video game adaptation. Look at the Max Payne or Mortal Kombat II adaptations for movies that were worse than the RE ones.
