I'm thinking whether I should cancel my RE:6 pre-order. Mostly for the fact that I don't want to get it now and then theres a Gold or Ultimate Edition around the corner......what to do?

My decision is all up to my friend. I am willing to wait for the Gold Edition, but he really had fun when we played the Demo.

Knowing you guys, you probably already have other games to play or complete and there are more coming.

Capcom really screwed themselves over this gen. People now are not buying their games bc of the inevitable re-release. UMvC3 was the last new game of theirs I bought and unfortunately have now taken the waiting approach with their titles

Sherry's is the only one I really like, being that she's now a hot adult yet fitting into her uniform from RE2 when she was 12 lol

I have no doubt there will be more costume/character DLC. This is Capcom we're talking about here!

Alright, the perv in me likes that too. But I'm really disappointed that the retro pack consists of ugly 32bit models. Hopefully Leon and Chris will have their RPD and STARS uniform, but in HD. Jake could have one of Wesker's outfits. Sherry could actually wear Claire's jacket, as an homage to RE2's ending. Helena would have looked great in a RPD Uniform, if it weren't a stupid Stripper Police outfit.

In other news, I just got the Remake for the Gamecube today (Yes I'm very late) and so far it looks great. Gonna take a while to get used to the controls and I'm not liking the voice for Jill, but I'm really excited about playing it this weekend if there's time.

I received word that there is extra space for more characters on the selection screen for Merc mode. Since these were hacked off the disc, that means there will be DLC characters!

I wish they'd bring back all of the Resident Evil veterans for Mercenary Mode. It's not canon anyway, it's just MP. So bring back Rebecca, Barry, Carlos, Nicholai, Hunk, Claire, Wesker, I wouldn't even mind seeing Steve and Billy.

They will probably as a last ditch money grabbing DLC effort. It's Capcom after all. I'd at least expect to see Claire and Jill released as Mercenaries DLC since their the only ones of the big 4 not present.

Man, I'd love to see the Wolfpack and Echo Six in this too. I know the game wasn't canon, but for MP everything should be fair game.

Piers Dead Rising costume makes me want a Dead Rising / Resident Evil mash-up now......or at least Frank and Chuck as hidden characters in the Mercenaries......and I'll pass on the 32-bits...Chris, Leon, Ada, could be awesome if not for the 32 bit...

I'd think there's already a ton of people who want a remake of RE2. If they haven't done one by now, I doubt they'll ever make one.

I was about to say the same thing.

Altho i think the series has moved on enough, its time to reboot or start remaking. I would kill for a REmake of 2, but im afraid theyd just turn it into another action game. I wouldnt want to play RE2 with a coat of "action paint" slapped on top of it. Wouldnt mind co-op as i always felt it was stupid that Leon and Claire split up.

If I wanted a great action game I'll play Gears of War, God of War, Uncharted, ect ect. Resident Evil were not action games, and I wish they would go back to their roots. I know it's been said it here like a broken record, but Capcom is just not thinking right in my opinion.

I'm always against Co-Op for horror games, to me it just takes out that being alone feeling, which it should be. Go back to good single player survival horror types of games.

I agree with Pat that they should reboot, and start with their roots. Go ahead and update controls and so forth, but keep the gameplay what it was during RE1-RE3 (or Code Veronica) that's what I want to go back to.
