The only thing that felt RE to me with Degeneration was the beginning in the airport, but it was way too short.

Exactly, then it went to its modern RE pretty much. RE1 with our beloved Alice was very RE, but yeah the 2nd movie decided to add tons of action, which the audiance LIKED since... How else would these movies make money otherwise? Surely the haters are staying away from this, right? People go see the RE movies, because they know what their in for. Fun auction combat with zombies in it, and that is for alot of people worth their money, proven by the box office and dvd sales.

RE5, i agree completely, but RE4 at least attempted to be scary. RE5 tried to be Call of Duty with monsters.


And im assuming u mean Resident Evil: Outbreak, but i thought that was a pretty decent RE game, in concept, it was just executed poorly.

I just saw that they are making a 5th movie which will be released next year. WTF? The RE film series is terrible. Do people actually love these things? I cant beleive this will be the longest videogame to move series at 5 films. Thats absurd considering its a poor adaptation of the source material

I know man, i really cant stand it. I dont know what morons keep going to the theaters and watching these things. Not only do the films s**t all over the source material(which honestly isnt a big deal) its that the movies are SOOOOOOOOOOO bad. The acting, writing, directing, all are awful.

There were a ton of people in the Movie Thread that liked it. I still don't understand why. Some even acknoweldge that the Movies are mediocre.

I don't love it, just like to watch it. I simply see it as its own thing, separated from the story of the game. And no, I'm not a moron, Pat.
I'll be looking forward to the next movie. I just think it's fun, not a great piece of art.

From the spin-offs I played only Outbreak File 2, it's a bit disappointing experience, characters are slow and gas canisters are needed a lot to remove the gas in the RPD
I was hoping Eddie lying down would be good, it was worse than simply running cause it speeds up his infection, which already is a bit fast

Out of the four Alice movies I can only watch Apokalypse, I think it's bearable
I think Alice fits the movies as a name more than Resident Evil does

Actually the last one was the best IMO as it felt Chris and Claire actually got to do something and weren't actually being saved by Alice most of the time, but rather fighting alongside her and proving capable of holding their own without her having to jump in.

4, 2, 3, and CVX are among my top 5 games, only one game sits between 3 & CVX preventing them from being top 4 in a row
RE5 is a good game, but not good enough to sit as one of my top 10 games

Two of my favorite things in RE4:
*Ashley in the armor, I can shoot her with the bazooka without fearing damage, best way to untie her. It's really funny to see the ganados lift her to fall
*The gun that kills plagas directly, especially big boss fights

Yea i was too harsh and didnt really mean it. Its just when people keep seeing these films, its telling the filmmakers they like what they are doing with that franchise.The longer these keep going, the less likely we will get a decent adaptation of the source material.

You need to go play the first game man, asap. Go get the remake on the Gamecube. Its SOOOOOOO good. Still the scariest game iv ever played. Lisa Trevor....just, well shes creepy.

Yea the Gamecube remake man, they redid the first game for the gamecube its awesome and totally worth going out and picking up a gamecube for. Get zero while ur at it as well. Those 2 games are the only games i have left for my GC.

I knew of the remake, it was just the shock of forgetting it
I hope I could find the two discs and a couple of NGC controllers, I want to play them on the Wii, in case I got one

Not too surprising there's a fifth film coming. I mean those things make money, and apparently the last one did absolutely bonkers oversees (like 200+ or something). I wonder what that means for the reboot they planned? Well, it was by the same team and company, so it probably doesn't matter. I still haven't seen the third and fourth films.
