So is this confirmed now, or is it still just a very strong rumor?

Haha, I would think all them high resolution screenshots are indicative of this thing being real. Capcom has a press release for it. Its definitely confirmed

I woulda flipped out over a straight port. Never expected to get the HD upgrade. Holy hell such amazing news. Amazing.

Just heard about this. Totally unexpected. I'm really excited!

Only sucks that this will be Digital. Would have made a good present for someone I know. Now all I can do is tell him to check the PSN store when it comes out.

This is one of those pipe dream scenarios where you just keep saying, 'man it would be cool IF....' and lo and behold, its coming true. I figured they were gonna give us another remake or a REmake of the REmake, but to actually give us the REmake, an HD REmake no less, is, man its a good time to be alive.

I can't wait to see Lisa Trevor's pretty face in glorious 1080p.

Ever since Ecco the Dolphin, Im terrified of underwater creatures :wow:

And I ain't even joking lol

I'll have to wait and see what the alternative controls are like. No way I could play it if it played like the original.

Unless its a collection of games, I prefer a port of an old title to be digital

Yeah, I don't mind that this game is digital.

I don't mind it either. Just that it's digital only. Like I said, it's just because that would have made a great gift for someone. And really great games I'd rather own physically.

I already had a physical copy of the original, so being digital isn't a big issue for me either.

Iv been going all digital as it is and planned to do so with this, but I don't care, if this game was physical only id still be incredibly hyped.

Y'know, I don't want RE2make. RE2 cannot be done any better and a remake should only be done when the game can be improved upon. All a RE2Make would be is a graphics and voice acting update. What I want is an RE3 remake, which is funny because I have always considered Nemesis to be an inferior game that essentially tells a side story that in no way contributes to the overall lore. I've always considered Code Veronica to be the proper RE3. However, Nemesis is filled with untapped potential, which is exactly the type of game that should be remade. That potential can now be realized due to modern technology.

Remember all the grand promises during Nemesis's development? A wide open Raccoon City? Instead we got set paths through confined areas with an open city backdrop. Now, we can truly have an open Raccoon City. Think GTA or Dead Island.

Remember how we were promised branching paths, each different from the next? With a truly open world, that is possible.

Remember the promises of how Nemesis would stalk the players and be unpredictable, only to get scripted encounters with it, exactly the same on each play through? Now, a Nemesis that truly stalks and responds to the player is possible...think Alien Isolation, with Nemesis...always watching, but never sure when it will see the opportunity and make it's move.

I get chills just thinking about it. Forget about RE2Make. I want a Nemesis remake that finally lives up to its potential!

Thats because Nemesis WAS supposed to be a side story, but due to a deal with Sony, Capcom HAD to release a set amount of numbered games on the console, so they just gave the 3 to Nemesis, fulfilling that deal. Code Veronica was the true sequel to RE2.

As for Remaking 2, I don't think it'd be a lost cause. It'd just take a great game and make it better(assuming it was done like the REmake).

Personally I say REmake the whole damn series up to 4. Give me an updated RE(which we are getting in the HD port of the REmake, IM SO HAPPY) then REmake 2, 3 and Code Veronica.
