Ive only played through this once with Jill. When I do ever get it, I will try it finally with Chris

Yea most play through the game as Jill as its a bit easier due to her item slots and ability to pick locks.

I just booted up the game, the BSAA costumes are unlocked right from the character select screen. Pretty bad ass.

Does Chris actually look like he does in RE5, or is it just the costume on regular Chris? Because the costumed looked fine, but his overall RE5 design is so horrible.

He looks like he does in RE5. Costume and physical appearance.

Iv realized that Iv been playing this game wrong for all these years. I, for some reason, had always been under the impression that the Hike setting was normal, whereas the Mtn Climbinf setting was hard. So Iv always thought Iv beaten the game on normal. Nope, Iv always beaten the game on easy and now that I am playing on normal, I'm realizing its a far, far tougher experience, more so than I would of thought . Sheesh, the nightmare that is RE begins again.

Urgh. I guess if you like the look of the character models of Gears of War, it's not that bad, but I always thought his overall redesign was horrendous.

Yeah, I think once you beat the game and unlock hard, they go by their actual names (Easy, Normal, Hard). At least I think the original GCN game was like this, I may be mistaken.

Stitched corpses and gas secretion.

Capcom has updated the official Resident Evil: Revelations 2 website this morning with new gameplay clips of its Revenant and Glasp enemies.
Both clips Barry Burton with Natalia Korda, a little girl he meets on the island who has “more than just the normal five senses.”
The first episode of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on February 24. Find the game’s full release schedule here.
Watch the clips below.
Revenant

These creatures appear to be stitched together remains of various corpses with no care for how they would look. They can both deal out and take a lot of damage, which means even just one of them can be a major threat. As a virus within their body gains traction, it creates a “core.” Destroying that will end all vital activity.
Glasp

This creature can be found naturally occurring on the island following its exposure to the virus. It secretes a gas from its body that impairs the vision of any animal in its vicinity, and uses this advantage to stealthily approach and attack prey without warning. With strong, vice-like legs it not only grips and holds on to prey, but it can also easily break human bone in half.

So since we have a few new games. Lets talk about the old bad ones. Anyone ever play Survivor? How about Dead Aim? Or that Game Boy Color one with Barry?

Yea the REmake character model is by far his best design. I wish all the outfits were unlocked from the start, I'd of liked to start out with his CV outfit.

no, the only "side" games Iv ever played are the Outbreak games and Op Raccoon City and 0 if u count that. The RE games in my collection

Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil(REmake/Orig)
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil: CV
Resident Evil: Outbreak
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 6

I remember Survivor, it was pretty ******. I played it without a light gun, but I kind of still feel like it would've been a pile even with one. I also played the Outbreak games, too. Cool idea, but weak execution.

I thought I remembered the REmake better than I actually do. Iv had to bust out my old GC REmake strat guide.

Are you using the new control scheme or did you switch to the OG tank controls? Just kind of curious what your thoughts were. I did eventually see a video of someone using the new controls and it seemed pretty awful. Dude was basically flying, and the camera was changing so fast he ended up hitting walls and having to go back a few times. Didn't see any combat with them, though.

Im actually using the new scheme. It took a bit to get used to as, being an old school RE fan, i wasnt used to RE controlling that way, but really once you've gotten past that, it controls quite well. The issue to over come is that with this new scheme, running is done by just hold the thumbstick all the way in the direction you want to go, rather than having to hold a button along with the thumbstick to run. So Ill find myself wanting to just move slightly in one direction, but forgetting that pushing the thumbstick all the way forward will cause my player to run rather than walk and that can be an issue when you are on the edge of one camera view going in to another. I have found it much easier to dodge enemies with this new scheme tho. Iv also noticed that its now possible to reload your weapon while outside of the inventory screen. You just hold RT and tap B. I don't remember that being an option in the GC game. I thought the only way to reload was through the inventory screen our automatically when the character tried to fire an empty weapon.

Loving the remaster :)

Yea it's incredible, but it's not like they had to do much. The game held up wonderfully. This game looks better than some current gen games and it's a title that originally released in 2002. It's a bit sad tho, seeing as how RE hasn't come close to reaching this level of quality in over 10 years. I wonder if the series ever will.

As long as they keep rereleasing the same game but looking nicer it will. :o

Haha true. The only way they could reach their bar set by the REmake is to do the same to RE2...then 3....then CV

Considering how none of the people responsible for those games are actually there anymore, I'm not sure sure what bar that would actually hit. One of the things that made REMake so good, I think anyway, is that it was still done by the same director and team from the original game, and they were able to add and update to the game in a way they wanted to do with the original but couldn't because of the hardware.

Besides, RE3 sucks anyway. I don't understand what people see in that game. I'd rather just have a brand new game than waste resources on REMaking that pile.

Reality is my crack.

I've honestly never really liked RE3, even back in the day. It felt to me like a watered down RE2, and it was first in the series to have such a goofy ass, anime-ish storyline, and the whole Nemesis thing started out cool but got really lame after the first time. I don't know, I really just don't care for that entry. The only thing I think I liked about was that it was the first (I think?) to have Mercenaries Mode, which was a cool idea.

It was pretty innovative. Didn't add much to the RE narrative other than a new type of Tyrant that can do this and that...and the destruction of the city, but that was always to come anyway.
There is a reason why so many want RE2 and not 3...because 2 is better than 3.

Yeah, I would be up for REMake of 2. But that's about it, though. RE3 I don't think warrants one, and CV got a HD remaster already, just re-release that on the new consoles.

hmm I forgot to put this up yesterday with the former post ay way it's the same video's I put up from Gematsu last time. so I won't put that up just words in this artticle

Barry And Natalia Take On A Revenant In Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Gameplay Clip. January 20, 2015 . 2:31pm

And Natalia can identify weak points on enemies.

Capcom have uploaded two gameplay clips from Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to their YouTube channel, showing off two of the enemies in the upcoming game—the Revenant and the Glasp. You can watch them below.

In the video above with the Revenant, you’ll notice that Barry Burton is with Natalia, who can identify weak points on enemies.

They're really riding the nostalgia train here.

Best thing about RE3 was the Nemesis Parasite. I kinda thought this is what was infecting the villagers prior to RE4's release.

Whenever I hear about her being able to identify weak points I keep thinking of her yelling "Shoot the zombie in the head!" and Barry telling her to shut up.
