I know most think RE4 is the best in the series, but I was never a big fan of it. I liked the originals a lot more. I still go back and play RE2 and CV about once a year. I never even tried 5 and 6. Just not interested in the new formula.

Is the RE7 thing even real? I keep looking for an official report about it, and all I get are things about rumors regarding RE7. I mean, yeah, it's a given, but is that whole The War Ends Now even official or is it fanmade?

There's no official word cause people are Expecting it to be said at the up coming event of E3 right now it's just Speculation from certain reporters in the gamer medium . All capcom said is they have an announcement it can be ether that or something else entirely.

Not to trying to derail the subject, but I'm curious. I know Mega Man is (was?) a flagship franchise for Capcom, but the classic series hasn't seen real innovation since MM4 and the last good X game was 4, arguably 5. Where is all this demand for Mega Man games coming from now that Capcom all but ignored the series. It wasn't like MM 9 or 10 were top earners Capcom like the way RE, DMC, SF and perhaps Dead Rising were. I'm just getting tired of seeing people blaming Capcom many faults on not doing another Mega Man game. Just wanting to get ot off my chest.

Saw videos of Resident Evil 4 HD update
While the character models look vastly sharper, other things look almost no different when compared to the PS2 port

I love the new formula, but Resident Evil 4 got it best, followed by Revelations
Resident Evil 5 has a few issues, like Shiva's A.I when she stands in my way while the rocket launcher is in my hand

Resident Evil 6 is an interesting pack of ideas put together, but it's done wrong, the game is broken, and the video song KevanG posted is an apt description of the QTE dependency in that game

Plus, the Chris scenario has one obnoxious flaw at one point that I hated in Devil May Cry 3 first, you must win in gameplay, to see your character losing in the cutscene of the mission's end

1. REmake
2. Resident Evil 2
3. Resident Evil 4

If there's a RE7 in the works and it's more like Revaluations count me in. If it's more like RE6, I won't be in such a rush to play it. I'd also like Jill, Claire, and perhaps Rebecca to return as main characters. I'm sick of Chris and Leon right now. Especially Chris. He's been in three main RE games in a row now.

You're damn right it will. REmake has the best atmosphere of all the games IMO.

When people are discussing "REmake" in regards to Resident Evil, it's in reference to the Gamecube remake of RE1. Unless you're unaware that the game has existed since 2002, what exactly is your question in regards to it being out already?

Yeah, REMake came out for the GCN and then got re-released for the Wii. Pretty old game at this point. Thought a HD remaster would be cool, but it'd only be on the Wii U probably, which most people wouldn't like I'm sure.

The original does not have the evolution of zombies, that I did not experience

Capcom has gone on the record saying if fan support is high enough, it will consider remaking Resident Evil 2. Support doesn’t get much stronger than a fan beating you to it.
