I remember seeing a long play (of RE4) not long ago and it dawned on me that it had A LOT of QTE segments. More than 5 and on par with 6.

I don't remember it having that many really, but it's been awhile. QTEs get a lot of hate, but I don't mind them when they're used well. They can be a great way to break up segments, but they get used too excessively.

I loved Leon's campaign, but I found the rest rather dull. Especially Chris's.

Leon's game felt like RE4 with co-op. Chris' was RE5 all over again. Ada's was Separate Ways, and IMO was the stronger campaign of the 4 solely for it was a solo experience.

you two are the few I've actually seen that liked Ada's at all on this forum well they tried to bring back the puzzles with her's but most people say that fell short of what's been doe i the past. I thought it could have be done a bit more better. But was ok with it.

I also liked that her campaign really felt like it had closure on a lot of storylines.

My big want for going forward is to just drop the co-op stuff. Maybe have like a separate mode or something for co-op, but I just never really cared much for the idea.

I'd be ok with using co-op just for spin-offs. Like Outbreak and Operation Raccoon City.

the only co-op I'm for is selective/optional drop in and out co-op mode with my buddies.

not the forced kind. I liked the old school Tmnt and double dragon and final fights deals . or basically the co-op system war frame has where your aloe if you want to or ca have your buddies join. you if you wish. if it's the forced kind forget about it. I wont touch. Well with this series I did, but wasn't happy about it.

This is the only series where they messed that up. But oh well

I'm surprised to find so little discussion of the TRUE RE4, Code: Veronica. One of the best in the series, if you ask me.

I thought Code Veronica is the true RE3?

Its both depending on how one wants to look at it. IMO, it was stupid that it wasn't given the number 4 as many disregarded it as some side story when it was a direct sequel to RE2

Code Veronica may be my favorite in the series. There's something about that game that I enjoyed the most.

I haven't played it in many many years, though.

1) I like the character, in spite of her tiresome relationship with Leon. Speaking of Leon, this is his FIFTH time dealing with this sort of thing (third dealing with zombies) yet he acts like he's still in 'Coon City.

2) Her campaign was solo and because of that there was a feeling (for me at least) SOME element of fear. The threat of death felt very real as opposed to a co-op buddy reviving me if I screw up.

3) I love stealth games.

4) While the puzzles may have felt shallow, at least they tried to bring them back. At this point, I applaud the effort.

oh they should bri back the puzzles if they have some that knows how to do good noes like back then I'd welcome them

I have no problem with the relationships in this series. I don't think so anyways

And I love stealth games I like act in them(depends how they're executed) but I'm aways down for meaning full stealth

It was/is. Code Veronica originally was going to be Resident Evil 3, but due to a contract with Sony that required Capcom to release 3 numbered games on the playstation, they gave Resident Evil: Nemesis the 3. But CV is your "true" Resident Evil 3, with Nemesis being an offshoot.

I think the Saturn version of the first Resident Evil is also different than the PS1 version, because Sony demanded that the PS1 version be distinguishing in some way. Sony sure did want them some RE back then.

Is there any chance that Resident Evil 2 Reborn HD is so good that Capcom could endorse it and release it for PSN and Xbox Live?

No.

But maybe the re-release of the REmake will be so popular that Capcom will finally realize that a REmake of RE2 would be a sure bet.

Does it have to be a complete remake? Is it impossible to just make an HD remaster of RE2? Or would it have to be a completely new build.

Just going to say, Capcom has endorsed fan projects before. I'd fully support a remake of RE2 since it is one of my favorites in the franchise.

I think it'd have to be a new build. I think remastering PS1 titles in HD isn't possible due to low polygon counts. Have they endorsed and released fan projects before? That's the first I've known about them

Yea like Tron said, I think it'd have to be built bottom up. Much like the REmake was. Like you though, Id kill for a re done RE2.
