Not saying he should have a role until future solo Bat films, but should Robin exist in this universe? And if so, who should play him?

Yes, I am inclined to want him to exist in this universe (Dick Grayson, around 15 years old), but not this film. Let him make his debut in the stand alone Batman film sometime after this one.

so long as he's a young adult I'm for it.

I think Robin and Nightwing should be active, but that's just me...

I wouldn't want Nightwing to be active already, only because I would like to see Dick as Robin is a stand-alone Batman film and soon after transition into Nightwing. Ultimately, Nightwing is incredibly unknown as a stand alone hero to the general population. Someone like him needs an introduction.

In before obligatory Matt Damon for Robin

Anyone else think Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad would be a great grown up Jason Todd/Red Hood? Probably too old to be Robin but since Batman is supposed to be seasoned they could say he was Robin in the past.

Sure, but that would be a very obscure route to go down.

Rather Lerman for Grayson, Smit-McPhee for Todd, Butterfield for Drake.
I don't want the Chris "I'm an adult boy in my teens" O'Donnell mistake again.

Save Franco, yeah that's pretty good.

I think they might want to hold off on robin at the moment since some people seem to think Ben will be a bit cheesy enough without him.

It would be great to see Damien though

I think they need to do the "Bucky update" to Robin and make him a bit older. Late teens or early 20s. Depends on when Bruce started. ie 40 year old Bruce operating with a 20 yr old Robin means that 30 year old Batman had a 10 year old robin...it just doesn't need to be shown on screen. They could also then transition from Robin to Nightwing in the Batman solo. i have no idea how they would "update" the robin suit though, maybe any of these three: http://www.wallgc.com/batman-robin-...ng-batwoman-artwork-red-hood-red-robin-73370/

I want a 13-16 year old Robin. Why? Because he's The Boy Wonder. Not the 25-Year-Old Wonder. It would work, look at Hit-Girl, most people like her more than Kick-Ass.

And no to Dave Franco, after seeing him in 21 Jump Street, he has an annoying voice and looks like a *****e.

he can be 17, 18, 19 and still be the boy wonder. why the **** would anyone want a 13 year old running around in these films and not expect them to get offed?

Ive been called "boy" more in my 20s than i did when i was in my early teens

I want to see Dick Grayson. I'd like it especially if they gradually evolve his character over the course of the films, so we see him go from Boy Wonder to Nightwing all on his own.

This movie ain't superman vs batman/robin

A big no to a robin character in this movie

The Dark Knight Rises wasn't called "The Dark Knight Rises, with Catwoman and Robin," but they managed to work those characters in all the same.

Besides, Robin wouldn't have to have a major role... it could just be a mention or a cameo. I'd love something like that for this film and then to see him play a more significant role in the next Batman movie.

Also, Justin Bieber should play Robin. Or maybe Batgirl. :o

All they need is a "Should i call backup" line from Alfred and have a light come on the Robin/Nightwing/Whatever suit. OR if they cast the actor have the picture pop up

A quick cameo of a 16-17 yr old or so Dick Grayson as Robin would be great...either have a scene at the beginning in the batcave where Bruce is watching footage of the destruction in Metropolis, then Robin rides in on his bike after a night of patrolling, and Bruce tells him that he'll have to watch over Gotham by himself while Bruce visits Metropolis, OR just have Bruce call the batcave via video at some point during the film to check-in with Robin on how things are going in his absence...then make the relationship between the two the focus of the next solo Batman film. Have it be a film with two stories at once, a modern story with Bats and Robin which ties in with a flashback story of Dick's origin/meeting Bruce at age 13. If they fast-track a new Batman film, then Affleck can probably still pull off the flashbacks(hell Jackman just recently played Wolverine in a flashback to the 1940's...13 years after the first X-Men movie). Make it somewhat of anadaptation of the "Robin's Reckoning" 2-parter from the animated series, where they are going after the killer of Robin's parents while flashing back to how they first met. Then, by the end of the film Bats and Robin have a falling-out and the final shot is Dick standing on a rooftop at night in his new identity as Nightwing.

I'm a bit torn on this...

I am against copycat characters. I believe that DC has done themselves a MASSIVE disservice by being lazy in this regard.

"Space opened up for a new title...how about Booster Gold?"
"Nah...people like that Batman logo. Let's do Bat...Woman!"

There are thousands of guys who can be Green Lanterns, 4 or 5 who can easily be The Flash. Assorted Aqua Lads and Wonder Girls and Superpeople fill the DC Universe. They are using iconic logos to prop up their universe rather than developing other concepts and characters and getting people to care about them.

Dick Grayson is not really a copycat character...but he treads that line. If Batman is busy, Nightwing will fill in for him. Over the decades they have managed to develop Dick as his own man (kinda...he's still in Batman's shadow), so it works in the comics...but in movies I worry that he'd basically be seen as Batboy.

A cameo yes for this film. But give the screentime to Alfred, Gordon and a great Bats villain. Hopefully a good part of the film takes place in Gotham and that is where I'd work Robin in.
