I also thought that of the updcoming Marvel films, Homecoming was the most likely to fail. Director was nearly unheard of, six writers, trailers looked generic and safe. One day I will start trusting Feige.

You still don't trust him after all these years of Marvel domination?

The director thing didn't really concern me. Marvel has a gift for snagging just the right person for their projects, regardless of what they've done before. What worried me was the six writing credits. Even for a movie like this, that's a lot.

So good to see the movie certified fresh.

Has anything been about Keaton as The Vulture?

I don't remember seeing anything really negative about him while some people call him the best MCU villain so far.

Also, 6 more positive ones until we're back to 94%.

Cool, thanks, was just wondering as I haven't heard much buzz about him.

Yeah he's quite different from comics Vulture so I wouldn't let that put you off. I remember the first comic I saw that had Vulture on the cover and I thought it was some kind of joke. Many of the reviews say good things about Keaton, and much more so than most other MCU villains.

Sony needs to kiss Marvel's butt until the end of time for restoring Spider-man back to prominence.

But instead they'll squander it with their stupid villain universe.

I just hope they don't kill him off like they did with a lot of MCU villains; I want to see a movie with Sinister Six someday.

Cool, thanks. Love Keaton, but never been a fan of The Vulture, he was always Spidey's worst villain for me.

Goes to show that the right director & script do more for a villain than his comic book origin. Great villains like Venom, Sandman, and Electro were squandered thanks to their lousy movies even though all of them are better than Vulture and more well known as well.

Yeah. I'm still yet to come across anyone who's excited for this idea. Sure people like Tom Hardy and he could be very good as Venom, but how many are excited about the actual concept of a shared Spidey villain universe run by Amy Pascal?

Despite all the Villain BS the fact that they likely can't use Venom Carnage Mysterio and Kraven might be hard to take. However that being said I think they could make Chameleon into a great villain.

There are also some minor villains that they could use

Scorpion is obviously hinted at from what I hear but Rhino maybe there's a chance of bringing Vincent D' nifro in as the Kingpin in some type of minor role then again maybe not who really knows what they are planning right now.

Michael Keaton is the 'best actor' in spider man homecoming.

I'm not saying 'most popular' in a role which would be RDJ as Tony Stark-but best actor.

SMH lucky to get him.

I just hope Sony see the light somehow that their idea is incredibly **** and the Sony-villain-verse is likely to fail while at the same time having a knock on effect on the Homecoming films by draining them of many potential good new villains.

Thank you! That is the main thing I wish Marvel would change. You won't ever see DC kill off the Joker or Lex Luthor. I know it's a cliche with the "go to prison...break out...commit more crimes so the hero can catch them again" stuff, but it does work (there is a reason why it was used so much that it became a cliche) and does build the villains as characters. Marvel's one-and-done villains never get a chance to become established characters.

Uh who exactly hasn't DC killed off except for maybe Joker once Scarecrow and Lex Luthor but they did kill him Joker off if the 1st Batman movie. They also killed Penguin Two Face Twice Bane Twice so to say DC wouldn't do that is not true at all.

I was also worried this could be the MCU's first dud because of Sony somehow screwing the pooch. But now I know Feige would never let us down like that.
