I hope this gets a very good rating! After being dissapointed that Marvel never added Spidey to the MCU through the TASM series like they were gonna, I've been really excited to see how Spider-Man Homecoming would fare as Spidey's first ever MCU outing thanks to the amazing cast and director. So, I hope it does well so that Marvel gets to play with anything Spidey whenever as well as get a Fox/Marvel deal someday. Plus, I just want to see my favorite Webslinging wallcrawling Super Hero get his perfect portrayal on screen as well as The Vulture get his too!

It would have been weirdly amusing to see Marvel get their first misfire on their biggest property after all the work they did to get him back.

What will be amusing is if this film is a critical hit and makes close to or surpasses a $Billion and all the whiney fanboys crying and losing sleep over superfluous changes have to witness all this unfold.

Are you really doubting it's potential success?

Why would you think that? It amazes me that after 9 years and with every film release from the MCU, going back to Ironman, people still keep declaring this "one" will flop. Y'all haven't learned anything.

While at some point they have got to have a bad movie right? Even Pixar has had a few movies considerd bad.

Is there a dogma that says they have to? A contract? I don't think any MCU in the first 10 years of the MCU will be bad. After Avengers 4, who knows? I don't any upcoming MCU movies being rated rotten in RT.

No its just nothing is perfect and even something like Pixar that makes incredibly good movies has had some bad ones and even great directors have some movies that are considered bad.

How many hours until the embargo lifts?

How many hours until the embargo lifts?
Embargo lifts at 9am EST/6am PST. So about 2 and a half hours from now.

Although I have also seen tweets saying ET/PT instead of EST/PST, so not completely sure. Might be in 1 and a half hours. Does anyone know for sure?

13 minutes and counting!

Spider-Man: Homecoming Proves How Good Skipping the Origin Story Can Be

Happily, we don’t see him get bitten by the spider or Uncle Ben die. He’s already webslinging right when the movie begins, so it’s more about Peter Parker/Spider-Man growing into the hero we know and love. He makes mistakes, takes risks, gets bumps and bruises, and more. For part of the film, he’s actually a pretty bad Spider-Man. And that’s not something you see a lot of in superhero movies these days, either—a hero struggling to be heroic—which makes Homecoming even more unique.

it’s more like an episode of Freaks and Geeks that happens to have a superhero in it.

Suddenly all that gee-whiz innocence and frivolous humor comes into crystal-clear focus, as Peter discovers that being Spider-Man isn’t just for fun; he really has a great responsibility, and there are real-life consequences if he fails. And the film progresses from there magnificently.

Awesometacular from Jeremy Jahns, that's all I wanted to see. Surprised there's a rotten review this early, oh well.

Wow. Just randomly picking and reading 2 of those reviews... I'd say this may end up in the late 70s. I dunno. It's just very early, and to see the type of flip-flopping I've already caught... this could go either way.

Wow. IGN's score actually aligns with their initial word for once.
