I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm actually looking forward to Moore's run. :(

Art isn't THAT important, right? :(

Moore cannot do any worse then Whedon. What's sad is that I don't know if I'll stick around to be able to judge his work. Ramos sucks.

Wow. Your 10,000th posts was a reply to one of mine. Is that ironic? I don't know. Congrats, at any rate. Here's to 10,000 more.

Thanks.

On this topic, I believe WIZARD magazine during the 90's or so put it best, actually. To paraphrase:

"A good artist can make a great story even better, and can even make a bad story worth looking at. A bad artist can ruin a good story OR make a bad story even worse."

Moore can be writing A+ material, and it may not be enough to blanket Ramos poo.

Personally, I only agree with half of the statement. Bad art has never ruined a great story for me. And I have ready several comics where I've hated the art, but loved the story.

For me bad art on any story is a major drawback. I just can't stare at it for very long most times.

I couldn't read the Green Goblin arc in Peter Parker: Spider-Man because of Ramos' art, nor could I read anything Francisco Herrera drew. But those are fairly extreme cases. Most of the time, I can manage to slog my way through a bad artist's story. I'm still reading Countdown, after all.

Oh my word...Herrera is just awful.

Probably the worst artist I've ever seen in comics, to be honest. I literally got angry just looking at his art.

I can see stomaching Countdown's bad art, but I just can't see stomaching the even worse writing.

It's a shame the delays have utterly killed any momentum this story has, because, like AXM, the story is actually pretty good.

The flying girl is quite cute.

And remember, it's not Whedon's fault that all his stuff is late. Wizards did it.

I agree. I like this story MORE than AXM, which is simply yet another X-Star Wars story. The pacing is faster, at least.

Ironically, had Whedon's run shipped on time, this would be his LAST issue, not his 3rd. :p

Yeah, that's clearly Vic and the redheaded native.

Also, funny Philip K. Dick joke there when Vic woke up. :)
