I read the last issue, and just cant like chase. I tried to come back and its not working. And molly is still alive

Does anyone know why Brian K. Vaughan left Runaways? He did a excellent job on it why did he leave? I remember in the back of one Runaway issue in the letters page it mentioned that Brian K. Vaughan would be sticking with the title for a long while....why did it not happen? Why won't he come back to the title he made!? What is he working on anyways?

He did stick with it for a long while. He just felt like he'd said everything he wanted to say with the title and decided to hand it over to other creators. It's not his fault that no one else seems to know how to write them well.

Well, that, and I think that he's a bit disenfranchised with writing company characters because I know he said he wanted to focus on creator-owned stuff for the time being. Maybe just the grind of all the big wigs got to him.

Well, she's mostly incapacitated in the current arc since she's traumatized by nearly being killed and [blackout]having Old Lace literally die on top of her to save her.[/blackout]

Kiel Phegley: So Joe, to start this week, I've got to get right into something that A LOT of our message board members have been asking after, and that's the status of "Runaways." The book hasn't been solicited past October, and the current creative team is next handling a mini series starring Pixie of the X-Men. What's the status of "Runaways"? Cancelled? On hiatus? Retooling?

Joe Quesada: The latter. The title is currently being retooled and will be back in some fashion very soon, so stay tuned.


Kiel Phegley: Fair enough. I thought we'd take the opportunity since we were on the "Runaways" topic to ask a question lobsterj had a while ago about the past of the series. He asked, "Hey Joe, too late for another Runaways question? What happened with the digests? It seemed like under BKV they were released fairly soon after every sixth issue was published, but after the Whedon relaunch it seems you've gone to HC then standard trade then eventually digest. Why the change?"

Joe Quesada: Hey, lobsterj, the simple answer is that it seems that Runaways readers preferred reading the series in hardcover and TPB format so we adjusted accordingly.

so far we got 4 issues of RUnaways with the new creative team and no action....no oe fighting evil or using their powers except for Nico who really didn't do anything with them!!!

Brian K. Vuahgna why did you leave us!? Why did you leave us behind!? You made a excellent comic book and now it's turning to rubble...so far of all the new writers Brian was the best and beyond what the others did....

Yup. I got bored with it and gave up. Went from being my favorite book to just plain mediocre.

I'd love that. I mean, it doesnt appear to me that his schedule is all that full (unless he's just doing a bunch of top-secret stuff) what with Ex Machina coming to an end soon and the fact that he's off LOST. It'd be a dream come true to see him write Runaways again.

So is Runaways dead? This 're-tooling' has taken like three years lol.

I miss Nico and Victor and the gang. It would have been cool if they'd turned up in some other titles even if Runaways isn't coming back anytime soon.

Are we going to have to wait for a movie to happen for any chance of seeing their return?
