Can anyone give me a link to an article where the loners is talked about?

None of the 'New Pride' looked like they would be able to handle their own series.

As for Excelsior...I was never a huge fan of them when they were in Runaways.

I wouldn't want to take any of the current Runaways and give them a solo series, they work too well together.

I can't really think of any spin-off that would even be on the same level as Runaways, let alone better.

Maybe a more in depth look about Karolina and Xavin's space adventures?

I'll probably pick up the first few issues because its a Runaways spin-off. Going to have to see what direction they are taking the series in before I get too excited.

I'm one of the folks Elijya convinced to try RUNAWAYS about when the first volume was being reprinted in digests (before the first issue of their second volume started, a good move by Marvel), and I've been hooked ever since. It continues to be one of the best ongoings Marvel's published this century, matched only by YOUNG AVENGERS, IMO.

The last arc ended with a bang with that death, and I look foward to Norton's fill-in issues on art. I liked his stuff in GRAVITY and I think he'll be a good fit for the book.

So "Excelsior" is changing their name to "The Loners", eh? Reminds me of that line from AIRHEADS: "The Lone Rangers? But there're THREE of you. You're not exactly 'lone'." But whatever keeps Stan Lee happy. Considering Marvel still relies on stuff he created and co-created some 40+ years later, I can cut the guy some slack. I just hope their spin-off is as solid as their appearences in the main title were.

I'm pretty sure the relationship between Ricochet and Julie Power will be focused on a lot more in The Loners then it was in Runaways.

I love the way BKV has taken a character from Power Pack, such a silly creation by Marvel, and is turning her into a credible heroine.

Will be interesting to see how they get Chamber involved as he wasn't even around for their first run.

Chamber won't be involved. The first one was a fake, and the only reason that he's still included in the Marvel profile pic is because that is the only pic of the team out yet.

Runaways #19 will arrive in stores on August 16 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Brian K. Vaughan, with art by Mike Norton and a cover by Jo Chen.

Actually, Chamber's body was taken to England for care recently. His "therapist" abducted him and brought him to Clan Akkaba. He's apparently related. They have rebuilt his body, and has newly endowed powers that cited as being omega-level.
