    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

Days of Future Past The Sentinels - Part 1

Did you remember how Magneto killed Shaw in First Class? Magneto used a coin.

If the Sentinel stabbed him, it would hurt him a lot.

And when I mean stab, not stab with a fire blast but with a solid material like metal.

Xavier was controlling Shaw so his powers didn't work, if what you say its true then he should be able to take damage from bullets.

He deflected those bullets with his energy force field, I guess.

But if he gets stabbed and hes unaware of it, like Storm was, he wont heal from that.

He didn't deflect them, he absorbed ALL their energy into himself.

I can't remember much of Iceman's last defense. I remember him walking out to build the ice wall but did we actually see that/see the Sentinels breaking through or was that all off screen?

I remember his death alrigh, which was very sad to watch.

I think we get a quick cut of them breaking through?

Later we cut back to Bobby and he's screaming as the Sentinels incinerate him.

It happened off screen.

When we saw the Sentinels walking inside the temple, they already killed the Iceman. :csad:

That's the problem with Shaw in 1st class. He gets killed by a coin but on a minute earlier Magneto was hitting him with the steel girders that made the frame of the room they were in (blunt force trauma). I think shaw could tank a ton of dmg in the movie-verse but it is kinda inconsistent IMO such as when he ran from the anchor.

The deaths of the X-men were quite brutal in the future scenes. I felt bad for them :(

IMO Iceman, Colossus and Storm's deaths were the worst. Storm's made me gasp out loud! How did Sunspot die? I don't remember.

Is that from a trailer or bootlegged?

I think Sunspot had his arm cut off and then his head? Storm's death was the most emotional for me, followed by Iceman (with poor Kitty watching on) and Blink. They were all genuinely sad and tough to watch though.

Blink was sad...the desperation trying to keep up with all the portals :(...and then Colossus being ripped apart

I believe it's from his character video on YouTube. So glad I didn't see it and Bishop's character video before I watched the film. They both spoil their deaths and one of them shows Professor X in the restored future.

Yeah I saw those tv spots after I saw the movie, thankfully! There were a few spoilers in those.

For me, Warpath's death was the worst to watch.

Imagine being held to the head of the Sentinel while it blasts your face off at point blank. :(

The death scenes were really brutal.

He gets killed by Lady Deathstrike's claws.

And before that, one of the Sentinels chopped his arm!

Speaking of... was anyone else traumatized by that experience? I know I was. Seeing the X-Men brutally massacred was so hard to watch. The image of Storm and Colossus dieing has haunted me. :csad:

When Storm died I knew it would be tough to watch, I had the sinking feeling watching Colossus die and then Blink.

Just watched a youtube clip of Storm's death again there, very sad - the music, the slo-mo fall.

I'm really glad they gave it the emotional beat it needed and didn't gloss over it quickly like X3.

Apart from maybe the jet exploding which I ain't sure if that even destroyed any sentinels There was only 1 sentinel taken out solo in the whole movie and that was by magneto, the rest pretty much owned every mutant they came across

Its funny because I remember people saying I hope this person takes out 5 sentinels, well no because they are pretty much unbeatable

I question whether it was because it was her who was killed or because she was the first to be killed that it was given the emotional beat, after all the moment she was killed it signalled they were all about to die
